Foundation Review // Maybelline Superstay 24hr & L'oréal Lumi Magique

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Once upon a time, I never used to wear foundation...Well any makeup at all. Firstly, because I wasn't allowed to wear it at school and secondly I just didn't need to. I never had dark circles and bags under my eyes, I didn't have uneven looking skin and more importantly, NEVER did I get spots.

Oh how times have changed!

As the years have gone by my skin has got progressively worse. It brings a tear to my eye even thinking about it. I have to wear primer, concealer, foundation and sometimes bronzer and that is just to correct my paleness, spot outbreaks, dark circles and uneven skin tone. I know I am not the only girl that struggles with this, so I thought I would do a review on the two foundations that are my go to product at the moment giving you my honest opinions on both.

Maybelline Superstay 24hr Foundation

This product claims that is has the staying power.
For 24 hours in fact.
 But is this actually true?

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The foundation also claims to do the following:

  • Transfer resistant (which is what we all hope for when we are trying to make our face picture perfect right?)
  • SPF 19 (we don't actually know if it really contains this though!)
  • Look naturally flawless all day (that's a big promise.)
  • Micro-flex formula providing 24 hour wear.
  • Withstands heat, sweat, transfer and touch (again a big claim.)
  • Oil free, fragrance free, tested under dermatological control.
  • Suitable for all skin types.
As far as I am aware there a 6 shades. I did go onto their site to check this, but one of their sites shows 8 shades and the other 6. You can make your minds up about that. The shade I own is 010 Ivory, now you may say "woaaaahh, that is like...White!" Well surprisingly it isn't, it is actually more of a creamy beige colour with pink undertones. If that makes sense. It is still pretty pale compared to the other shades available and people that actually have colour to their face rather than looking like the living dead. Like me.

Here I will show you a swatch.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Wow, my hand looks awful in this picture. I promise you this is an upload error and I don't have grey scaly looking hands. :) I don't know what's up with this upload programme on Blogger.

Sort it out!!!

Moving on! You can see from the swatch that the consistency is fairly thick and smooth in texture. The colour payoff doesn't look much on the swatch but it's actually super good when applied to the face. I went for a shade darker than my natural skin as I wanted to add a drop of healthy colour to my face. I do find however, that the foundation does oxidise (when the foundation reacts to your natural skin PH and turn orangey), ever so slightly during application but it is easily blended out to achieve a natural look.

I have tried many foundations in my time and used to use Estée Lauder's Double Wear foundation because it was slightly thicker than your average foundation and it was touch proof. For some reason I always seem to be touching my face or have my hands around that area and my base never seemed to falter wearing this. But of course it was getting a little pricey so I needed to find a drug store alternative. And for me this Maybelline Superstay foundation is it!!
The consistency is exactly the same as Estée Lauder's and it stays put all day long just like it says on the packet. I have had many compliments about how my makeup looks flawless and this foundation is a big factor for that. You can use this foundation every day or just for a night out, it depends on how you like to wear slightly thicker bases.

I do find under my eyes need touching up throughout the day as slowly the circles start making their way through, but that is all. I also find it sets best with a light dusting of bronzer and it literally looks flawless. It isn't heavy on the skin at all, which you think it would be considering the thickness of this foundation, and it doesn't look cakey either, it provides a natural finish even though it's fairly pigmented. However, the whole withstands "sweat and heat" claim I find isn't particularly true! I exercise and dance around my room with my Ipod on (as we all do at some point in the day *raises eyebrow*. Ha), and I get really hot and I am wiping my face a lot. Afterwards I find the foundation has made its way off my face slightly and I am left with the odd patchy part on my skin. With that said, it does withstand a beating and over all I am pretty impressed with its staying power even through exercise.

Over all I LOVE this dupe Estée Lauder foundation and it is my 100% go to product and a definite must have foundation. At £8.99 (in Boots) you cannot go wrong, it is a steal and super easy to apply and blend. Boots, currently have an offer on in the UK for 'buy 1 get 2nd half price on selected Maybelline cosmetics'. If you didn't have a reason to go makeup shopping before... You do now!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
I always look so happy in my pictures!! I am really. :D

L'oréal Lumi Magique Foundation

A complexion illuminating base.
Does it do what it says on the tin?

L'oréal Lumi Magique claims that it contains new Liquid Light Technology. This in return is meant to "infuse skin with a ray of light, illuminating your complexion as if lit-from-within." It also claims to give 'perfect coverage, without masking' and the result, 'a radiant flawless complexion that's full of life.'

  • Gives instant skin radiance.
  • Light texture, lets the skin breathe & 24 hour hours of hydration.
  • Contains SPF 18.

Their site are  showing 5 different shades which isn't a vast range compared to other foundations out there and they are all pretty similar in tone. The shade I picked up is C4 - Rose Beige, I was looking to match the Maybelline shade that I had as I knew that goes with my skin tone. I would say it appears slightly more darker (shown in swatch picture down the page)than the other foundation swatch but when applied it has the same appearance.

At the time of buying this I had blonde hair and I wanted a light foundation that I could wear when I just needed to take the edge off my own skin and didn't want a load of makeup on. I wanted something illuminating that would give me a natural glow and covered my under eye circles. Unfortunately as soon as I put it on it completely oxidised and the colour payoff was awful. I looked like a Dorito crisp!! Ha. Since then it had been sitting on my dressing table looking a sorry state.

I have obviously now become a brunette and a few months ago I decided to try this foundation again. The reason being was because I was running pretty low on my Maybelline one and wanted to save that until I really needed it.

I was actually shocked at how different the foundation was on my skin. It looked awesome! It didn't oxidise and the colour payoff was true to what was in the packaging. I couldn't believe the difference, and I think the reason it looked how it should of in the beginning was because of my hair colour change. My hair was white before and I assume the orange tone to it was because my hair was so light. Now that I am darker it looks so natural and 'glowy'. If you are blonde and pale like I was, I would go for a shade lighter than mine, which I think is C1 - Rose Pearl.

Here is a swatch.

This foundation seems a lot more 'watery' compared to the Maybelline one which in turn makes it thinner to apply and is a great every day product. I find you have to blend this foundation in a lot more to avoid streaking and have to apply a few 'dabbed' layers under the eye to cover the circles but it is true to its word. It makes my skin have an illuminated sheen to it. A healthy glow. Again this product is light to wear, it feels like you don't have anything on, maybe it feels more like a second skin?
It doesn't dry out the skin, but 24 hours moisture isn't really a given, it just feels the same to me.

I have makeup brushes but I always end up using my hands to blend as it's quicker for me when I am in a rush and I am lazy. Ha.
The only real downside to this product is that it isn't really touch proof, it does wear off after a while. So the staying power isn't entirely great and it does go patchy towards the end of the day. But it's a must have if you are just looking for something to throw on to make you feel human again.

Here are a couple of pictures with me wearing the product.

Excuse the awfully drawn eyebrows!!
Whoops.
I literally just have the foundation on here.
No bronzer or blush.
It's such a nice product to wear.

You can also get this product in your local drug store. At Boots & Superdrug it is £10.99.

Over all I love both of these products, and I love them both for different reasons. The Maybelline Superstay 24 hour foundation is my favourite for its staying power and matte finish. I love how easy it is to apply and blend, I love how I can still touch my face without it transferring and of course I love the price. It is so affordable and actually lasts quite a while. The L'oréal Lumi Magique foundation is my favourite "throw it on" foundation that gives a super nice glow to your complexion. Is lightweight enough just to wear around the house and hide imperfections and is my go to product when I am looking 'crappy' but chilling indoors. Ha ha.

I would recommend buying both of these products but if I had to chose my 'must have' foundation the Maybelline Superstay 24hours wins hands down as an all rounder.

I am really picky with products... Well a lot of things in general (it has to be right), but if I say something is good... It is good!! I will always give a 100% honest opinion and if I don't like a product I will say.

You can trust me fellow readers! :)

My Wish List - Fashion, Beauty & Bits 'n' Bobs

" 'Cause we are living in a material world, and I am a material girl."

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Like most of you ladies out there,
I LOVE to shop.
Sometimes a little too much!
But there are so many things I still want in my life. :)

The shops in my local town aren't really amazing. Sure, they have the high-street brands like Topshop, River Island and H & M but they aren't superstores and they don't really stock many of the things the larger stores have. Currently, I am job searching which means I can't go shopping like I want to and there are so many things catching my eye at the moment. Heartbreaking I know (get the violins out). So I have decided to do my own little wish list of the things I am loving and it all ranges between clothes, make-up and other knick knacks.
It's my day of birth in August so maybe I will have to buy something off here!! (Maybe just a lipstick...)

Here we go.

www.coupoining4u.net
I have literally seen every single one of my favourite
bloggers with this product.
And I want to see what all the fuss is about.

The Urban Decay 'Naked 3' eye shadow pallete seems to be really popular, and I constantly see it featured in YouTube vids. Urban Decay also have a 'Naked 1 & 2' pallete but I genuinely like the look of this one, the colours seem a lot more neutral and easily workable. The price... Not so much. It is a whopping £37 in the likes of Selfridges and Debenhams in the UK. It is a massive investment, one of which I will need to save up for!! Even so everyone seems to be loving it, which shows it is obviously worth the near bankruptcy. Ha.
www.milkteef.com
I have wanted these for SO LONG!!!
Yes you have guessed it,
It's the Revlon ColourBurst Matte Balms.

I first saw this product in a bloggers YouTube haul video and I love matt lipstick.
I am not a massive fan of glittery, shimmery or glossy kind       of lipsticks. I always tend to stick to matte lippies as I       find they are more pigmented in colour and last longer on the     mouth. I just like the finish, but it dries the hell out of       lips so obviously it isn't great for conditioning.
Now these beauties seem to be really popular and the amount of times I have gone into places such as Boots and Superdrug (UK stores) and attempted to purchase them is ridiculous. I love the berry shades and the orange/coral colours too. Especially 210- Unapologetic and 220- Showy. I just cannot bring myself to spend £7.99 on each stick. I know it sounds stupid but it's true. Maybe I am too careful with my money?!I pick them up, get to the till and then go and put them back. I am silly!! :)
Whilst looking for these on the Boots website
I have noticed they have 2 for £10 on Revlon make-up.
Now I am even more tempted. Score!!
www.vogue.co.uk

I don't own one single Mac product.
I know you are screaming at the screen right now.
In disbelief.
But it's a true story.

Everyone owns a Mac product I am sure. Unfortunately I am not one of them. And I really want this awesome lipstick. It's a popular one 'Ruby Woo' and it looks soooo nice. Mac lipsticks are like, what? £15 or something like that. I just cannot justify spending that much money on a lipstick, and because I wear lipstick a lot I would get through this one with no problem. That's what scares me! I have wanted it for so many years now though, when I eventually get a full-time job (someone PLEASE give me one, I am the BEST worker you will EVER have!) I will purchase this bad boy!! This is one of my must have products without a doubt. My make-up bag is screaming for it. I can hear it now as I am typing.

 Shhhhhh.
www.lookfantastic.com
These are so cute!

Again, I have never owned a pair of GHD's in my life! And then I saw these!! They are so summery and girly. I have worked in a couple of hairdressers and they always used GHD's and I have always loved them. They curl the hair amazingly as well as doing their straightening job. They are good for already damaged hair (note: No amount of heat is good for your hair but I have a valid point... You may resume reading), because they heat up so quickly. And you only have to glide through your hair a minimal amount of times before your hair is straight. Another must have product, which most people in this world have... Apart from me. I MUST GET SOME!!
www.johnlewis.com

This is more of a convenience product that I want but I guess it's also a 'need'.
My hair gets so knotty pretty much all of the time. I think it's due to the bleach I have still left in my hair and the condition of it. Now the Tangle Teezer claims to de-tangle hair so I would love to give this brush a whirl as my biggest annoyance is when my hair is pulled. I think it would save me a lot of time de-tangling and also maybe help the condition of my hair as it won't be snagged or ripped out of my head. I definitely need to give this a try.
www.spylovebuy.com

I NEED THESE ON MY FEET NOW!!!

I am totally in love!!

I could cry a little at how gorgeous these boots are!! They are 100% me and they look so comfortable to wear despite the height. The ones I originally saw were from New Look but they are no longer on the website (well when I searched for them they weren't there). So I searched the net and these were the most similar and from spylovebuy.com at £49.95 which I think is actually a little more than the New Look ones. Correct me if I am wrong though! Or if you can actually find the New Look version I would love it if you could send me the link. :) Anyway they are called BANDIT Chunky Cleated Sole Zip Platform Ankle Boots ( a bit of a mouthful) and they are (stating the obvious) in black. I think these would look super nice with anything you wore. Such as, disco pants, leggings (matte or leather-look), jeans, shorts and even dresses.
I can't help but stare at them.
This is a love that will never be broken. Sob.
www.boohoo.com
I love boohoo's clothes, they are good value compared to other competitive clothes sites and the quality is awesome. I brought a Parker style coat from them and I have worn it to death and it still looks good. I was looking on their site the other night and was searching for the 'perfect' Kimono and found this lovely number. I love the colour work on it and the floral pattern is totally in trend and the black background colour is perfect to match it to other clothes you are wearing. It's only £20 which is a bargain, considering I found one in Primark which was similar in price and not half as nice looking. Plus it has the fringing which I love on these. I would love to style this and it's very Indie/Boho and would look super hot at festivals.
I need to get this!!
www.topshop.com
I need some new black jeans and I love how understated these are!
These are the Topshop MOTO Jamie jeans, with rips placed at the knee. I have seen a few celebs' wearing these or similar ones on television E.G. Lucy Watson in Made in Chelsea (UK reality show). I haven't tried these on so I am unsure of the fit. Now I always have problems finding the right pair of jeans because they will either fit on the leg and not on the hips or visa versa. It's highly annoying for me and I usually find River Island jeans fit me the best. I haven't really tried Topshop's but I would love to get these.
My two favourite things in clothing.
Black and ripped.

www.hightech-edge.com

Jeeze, I have wanted an Apple Mac laptop for so many years now!! It's stupid.
It has always been out of my price range, but now that I have started to blog and want to do my YouTube channel videos I seriously need one. It has everything I need on there for me to edit my sound and video's. The only downside is the new Mac's have no disk drive. So I would have to download The Sims and not use my CD's. I think I will still be waiting a long time before I get one of these.
This one is new MacBook Air.
So Pretty.

www.amateurphotographer.co.uk

This beauty is the Canon 600D with flip-out screen.
This is another expensive 'want' on my wish list, but it's a practical one. I want it to film my YouTube video's on whilst I am in my room and to take high quality pictures to post on here. I have read many reviews and apparently this is a good beginner DSLR?
Maybe one day?!
www.canon.co.uk

The Canon PowerShot S120.

I religiously watch Zoella's YouTube channel and noticed that this is the camera that she uses to VLOG (video blog, for those who don't know) and know that this camera is good quality. It's a pricey digital camera but it makes bloody good video's.

www.play.com

I used to love this programme and really got into it in the later series, so I would love to watch it the whole way from beginning to end. Who doesn't love One Tree Hill?
Chad Michael Murray.
That is all.

And finally. SWEETS.

AMERICAN SWEETS!!!! :D
www.dolci.co.uk

There are A LOT more items I could put on this list.
In fact I think the list would be never ending!!
But those listed are the items that have been etched in my mind and have been for a while now.

I hope you have enjoyed looking through my wish list and I know it's been a long one ( I did warn you I am a chatterbox) and I would love it if you gave my blog a follow.
I don't have many at the moment. :(

Until next time...

My take on the Indie/Boho Festival Look

HI GUYS

Today I have majorly bad hay fever!!! No joke, my eyes look like mini kebabs. Just think of small little pita breads. That is exactly what my eyes look like, all swollen, itchy and damn right horrible. I love the summer but I don't like what comes with it and I am actually looking forward to fall/winter now. And that is saying something as I DISLIKE the cold!! Ha. True story.

Whilst I have been stuck inside on this gloriously warm day instead of soaking up the sun I decided to start messing around with my hair. I am loving the indie/boho look at the moment it's almost 'hippy' and so carefree, it's the perfect look for summer and the festivals. I have never been to a festival myself and I would LOVE to go, but up until recently I have always been working or at uni so it just hasn't happened. I just think festival goers always look so cool and unique and I am all for anything that is different. I am a super fan of the hair styles and the fashion so I decided whilst I had some free time on my hands to do my own take on this look.

See for yourself :)

Flower hair band: Claires Accessories
Lipstick: MUA Luxe Velvet Lip Lacquer in 'Criminal'
Eyes: Rimmel Exaggerate liquid eye liner in black
Rimmel Scandal Eyes Kohl pencil in black
Miss Sporty Studio Lash Mascara in black
Brows: MUA Luxe Powerbrow Pencil & Highlighter in dark brown
Foundation: Maybelline Super Stay 24 hours in 010 Ivory
Primer: NYC Smooth Skin Perfecting Primer
Highlighter: MUA Undress Your Skin Shimmer Highlighter
Blusher: Collection 2000 Blush in 'Trouble

I am super into the flower hair bands that are around at the moment, they are so girly and pretty and in my picture I am just wearing mine with a drop sleeve vest. It's an understated look with high impact. I have teamed this band with a messy, unkempt braid and I love how my highly pigmented lipstick played off the blue of the flowers. It's vibrant, summery and ideal for a festival as you won't have to have sweaty hair stuck to your face. Always a plus!! I do have to apologise about this photograph as for some reason the saturation has changed on upload. Whoops.

Recently, I went to an audition and I wanted to go dressed a little more girly with a strong hint of indie/boho. I tend to stand out with my image anyway but I was going for the more " I just threw it on" kind of look this day. And I decided to go for a plain white dress, leather studded jacket and some mock Dr Marten boots. I wore my hair simply down, with the sides pinned back and a yellow flower, halo hair band sitting on top.

My look was complete and here it is.

Wow I am loving the 'peace' pose too by the look of it. Ha.

Eye Makeup: Same as before

Silver Heart Ring: Claire's Accessories.

This was my take on the indie/boho festival look and there are a million and one other ways you can re-create this look yourself. I am a little bit of a rocker so obviously I had to darken this look up a bit and include my trusty leather jacket. :) I really like this little dress as it's all floaty and doesn't cling to all the wrong places. And the hair band, well I keep trying to wear it with everything, I need to get some more!!

And today... I am channelling my inner Lara Croft with my own version of the French plait. I name it 'The Rugged French Braid' oh, and please excuse my sticky out ears!!

Your non-traditional plait
My head looks weird in this picture :D
I hope you enjoyed this post and until next time.

How to Hair: 6 Easy Steps to Surfer Style Beach Waves

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Performance shot - making waves.
This season is all about experimenting with your hair, the simpler the better and that's cool with me. I love the whole 'bed head' unkempt, minimal effort kind of styles at the moment.

My hair is actually naturally blonde and I used to bleach it a lot for a few years until I went on a television show and they completely ruined my hair by back-combing the hell out of it until one side snapped off completely. Naturally I was devastated and thought it was time to go dark. Now I look like a bloody vampire. Ha ha. (Don't worry I am planning on going back to a 'natural' blonde pretty soon!) The point I am trying to get at is that I am trying to get my hair into a nicer state than it currently is, as it has been through a lot, so I don't straighten my hair and only blow dry it once a week if that. The hair style I have been loving and have spotted a lot of celebrities fashioning is the surfer style, beach waves. It looks super laid back and so effortless I am a massive fan! It is natural looking and it doesn't matter what you are wearing or what makeup you have on the hair goes with everything. Even better in my eyes.

So, I have put together a 'how to' post on how you too can achieve this look yourselves and it is sooo easy!! Trust me. I have been doing it a lot, even when I had blonde hair...
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Ignore my awful 'selfie' but how awesome does the hair look?!
Okay so here it is, pay attention. :)

Step 1:
I find the style holds better with just washed and blow dried hair. I use L'oréal Elvive Full Restore (5) shampoo and conditioner to help with the condition of my hair as it's colour damaged. So shampoo, condition and blow-dry. But before you blast your hair you need to add some key products.

Step 2:
Comb your hair through with a 'wide toothed comb' like the ones that they use at the hairdressers. The reason for this is because you reduce breakage by using a comb as using a brush will damage your hair (I used to work at a few hairdressers). It takes a little longer to comb through, but it will be worth it in the end as it will be less knotty.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Step 3
Now you need to add your product. I tend to use a thickening product in my hair first to give extra body and volume to my hair. I already have quite thick hair but it is also fine and I find my hair 'drops' really quickly. So if you're anything like me you will love this product, and it is TIGI Catwalk's volume collection in 'Your Highness' and it's a thickening gel. It looks like this if you want to purchase it. Oh, and it lasts AGES!!
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
You can get it from your local hairdressers at around £10
I use around 2-3 pumps of this product in my hair, the first two pumps concentrating on my root area and the third pump in my length and ends and comb through so it's spread evenly. This product achieves fullness and awesome manageability. I have tried so many thickening products but this is by far the best and lasts until your next wash. You do need to blow dry the product in though and don't put too much in one concentrated place as it makes the hair sticky.

Step 4:

Next, if you have damaged hair like me or you just want to keep it in good condition I would recommend Moroccanoil treatment (light). I put this in after the thickening gel and I spread it generously through the length and ends and sparingly around the root area. You don't want greasy roots now do you?! I think this product works super good and it leaves my hair feeling amazing afterwards, and I actually found my hair grew a lot quicker whilst using this product. The only downside is that this product has a hefty price tag and retails at around £30 in the UK. I have been told there are other alternatives such as Argon Oil which is a lot cheaper and you can get it practically in any shop. I actually saw some today at £1.50, but I have never used it so I am unsure to whether it will be as good as the Moroccanoil

If any of you have used the Argon Oil let me know what you think of it!! You can get Moroccanoil at most hairdressers and the bottle lasts a long time. I have used mine so I am on to a mini sample bottle but this is what you are looking for.
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
The £30 bottle contains a pump and is a lot larger than this.
Step 5:

This last product I sometimes use for this style but I find it can be quite drying on my hair, so don't use it often. But never the less this product does what it says on the tin and it is Lee Stafford's Beach Babe Salt Spray. It contains Dead Sea salts and 26 minerals, and leaves your hair with the 'just got out of the sea' feel, minus the bits of seaweed and sand.
I tend to spray around 5-10 pumps of the product onto my hair and then rough it up a little. You can get this product in stores like Superdrug and Boots in the UK and Boots are currently having a 3 for 2 offer at the moment and this product is £7.99. Like I said I don't always use this, it just depends whether you are wanting a more smooth or rough/dry textured finish.
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
You can spray this into dry hair too. :)
Step 6:

Finally, this is where the fun bit begins. Once all of your chosen products are safely thrown into your hair blast your hair off with the hair dryer. There is no need for a fancy blow-dry (as this defeats the whole style process)and then set up this bad boy...

www.argos.co.uk
Yes, that's right this is the magical machine that will transform your hair into a mystical mermaid's. I have this exact waving machine and it is frickin awesome!!! It's called Andrew Barton- Making Waves Triple Barrel Hair Waver. It's from Argos in the UK (unsure if you have this shop around the world?) and it's currently priced at £24.89, and it's ideal for creating the beachy/festival look. It heats up to a nice 180 degrees and has 10 temperature settings and also cools very quickly. This is a must have product for all you ladies who are a bit Indy/Boho or even if you want to try something new like I did.

You literally section your hair off and the amount of hair you chose to wave in each section is up to you. Experiment. I tend to do bigger sections and the odd smaller one to shake it up a little and make it more natural. You do this around your whole head and this is what each section will look like.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Move the barrel down each section of hair to create the wave.

And that's it, it's literally that simple to create this look and your hair looks amazing either up or down. I have a lot of hair, and if you do too, be prepared to be working on your hair for up to an hour. With that said, it equals out as it will stay like this until your next wash. Low maintenance or what!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Excuse the state of my room!!
As an added tip, if you want to add more volume to your finished surfer chick style then this is the product to use. It's Batiste Dry Shampoo and I get it in 'a hint of colour - dark & deep brown. It comes in different fragrances and ones for blonde and dark hair. It also has an one that is specifically for volume and that works wonders (it's called Volume XXL). The one pictured is just to refresh hair and not to volume a such. Currently it is £3.99 in superdrug for a 200ml can. Go grab it it's a steal. A must have product!!

I hope you liked my 'how to' blog post today?! It would be a lot easier posting this as a tutorial on my YouTube channel but currently I don't have a really good camera to film it on. :(

If any of you try this out for yourselves send me your pictures or even comment so I can see how you guys have achieved the look.

Primark Haul // A Summer Fashion Must Have!

I was meant to upload this post yesterday, but decided I would do so today as I could get the pictures I needed as the lighting yesterday was poor. Well, I got up this morning and we had yet another storm, which meant I couldn't go outside to take my pictures. So, I took them inside instead. I hope you don't mind :)

Saturday, I went into my local Primark with my parents as my mum wanted a bag. I don't know about you and whether you share the same annoyance as me, but I cannot stand busy shops on a weekend. There are too many people in every aisle, screaming kids and it's just plain uncomfortable. Basically I wanted to get out of the shop A.S.A.P as it was overcrowded. I had only gone into town to get my guinea pig some veg and wasn't planning on buying anything but I then came across this...

Primark mini pastel pink satchel

How awesome is this little pastel pink satchel?! I was instantly drawn to it and I LOVED the black lining which emphasised the colour even more. It was safe to say, I was now not leaving this shop until I had found more colours.

I want and love sooooo many things at the moment it makes me feel sick in my mouth at the thought. I REALLY need an Apple Mac, DSLR and a normal compact digital cam for my vlogging, and it just isn't going to happen right now with their maaaahooooosive price brackets. But this little ray of sunshine cheered me up a little.

I was on the hunt for a specific colour, and that was MINT. I am loving this spring/summer colour at the moment. I am highly pale and don't wear fake tan hardly ever and I find mint is such a flattering colour and makes you look slightly tanned. Well on me it does anyway :) I went trudging through the store and there it was my perfect little bag.

I instantly fell in love, and for a mere £6 this bag is ideal for anyone on a budget or even if you aren't.

I randomly came across this brand of bags that are online the other month and they are AMAZING it looks like you are carrying an actual cartoon bag. The colours are so vivid and the black outlining creates the illusion that you are in a cartoon strip.     This is what this bag kind of reminded me of. I couldn't decide between the pink and the mint but opted for the one that stood out the most and my lovely mum brought it for me. (That was the mint colour, in case you hadn't of guessed).

I have a smallish Primark where I live so it doesn't always stock everything the bigger stores have. If you live by one of their superstores then I am sure they will have these in stock, but they are selling out quick.

Hurry up guys grab yours whilst they are still around!!! They have the two colours that I have featured and a lemon colour. I have done a quick photo sesh on how I have styled my bag and you can see what I have teamed it with below.

Does anyone even hold it like this...Ever? Ha ha.

Teamed with a high shine mac. Stand out central!

It even goes with the low-key mint tee. Highly practical.
It's such an awesome size too and would be ideal if you are going for a meal, day out in the park or even out clubbing. Either way this is definitely a fashion must have and for the price you cannot go wrong.

I will briefly also tell you that I brought a bag myself from 'Primarni' (another word for Primark) as I needed a new 'every day one', as the one I currently have from H & M goes everywhere with me and it's casual. But I decided I needed a new black one that was a little smarter looking.

And I found this bad boy.

This bag is super cute, isn't too bulky and is big enough to carry everything I need. AND it was only £8. Bargin!! I think it looks more expensive than it actually is and black goes with everything, lets face it. A must-have staple in my eyes. This was the second from last bag in stock in my store so again if you like it, go grab it soon as it won't be there for long.

Oh and finally, I also picked up the t-shirt I am wearing in the pics on the same day. Again from Primark, in mint (although it's showing up lighter on my camera, but it is the same mint as the bag), the style is 'My Neppy Tee', I got it in a size 16 so I had the baggy/slouch fit and it was £4. :)

I hope you enjoyed this mini Primark haul and that I have convinced you enough to go out and purchase these pieces yourself. And I will see you in my next post.
