How I Get Rid Of My Spots And Blemishes | Using Superdug's Skin Care Range For Sensitive Skin

highlight, skincare, superdrug, thebalm, spots, clear skin, drugstore,

Good evening ladies and gents.

It's everyone's favourite day of the week again. Monday Funday y'all.

I have had another stressful weekend as Cody (my Guinea pig) is still poorly and I have spent all my time trying to get him to eat. I had to take him back to the vets yesterday because my gut is telling me that there is something else going on. So I have told them I want him completely scanned and X-Ray'd to find out the cause of what's going on.

I pick him up tomorrow evening. I miss my fur baby.

The last few months my skin has been going cray cray and I kept getting real bad spots along my t-zone. Mainly on my chin and they aren't little small dweeby spots. Oh no... They are the massive kind of beasts that don't actually erupt from under the skin but sit under it and hurt like a bitch!!!

And as soon as I got one to go away it would come back up with its little mates at its side. They have actually scarred my skin now. I am working on getting rid of those.

I have been switching up my skin care routine until I found one that actually worked for me and one of which that would actually sort my awfully annoying skin out.

I have sensitive skin and when I am hormonal, stressed or anything freaking else I tend to break out. I NEVER used to get spots at all. That's soon caught up with me like a bad smell.

I wanted to find products that were natural, specifically for sensitive skin and not full of the fake crap that every brand seems to have right now.

I am on a budget, so I took to Superdrug to find something that I feel would be suitable for me and my lord, I have ACTUALLY found products that work and have kept my skin clear since I have been using them.

"Can I get an amen?!"

Yep, ladies and gents if you have sensitive and problem skin you NEED to use these products.

This isn't a sponsored post, it just turns out that Superdrug's own brand is freaking super good!

highlight, skincare, superdrug, thebalm, spots, clear skin, drugstore,

Wow, I look like an actual vampire in the above!

Ha ha.

Lits, I just wash my face with the gel cleanser and if I am going to double cleanse I will go in with the foam afterwards. And I find using this mainly is what is keeping my skin clear.

The serum I use at night and it leaves your skin super soft, and the blemish gel I use on my spots, it reduces the redness and helps them disappear. Warning though. If you have picked at your spot, do not use this straight away as it stings. Ha.

Once or twice a week I will use the face peel. I cannot say enough how much I enjoy using these products. I am aiming to get the rest of the Youthful range. LOVE IT.

I haven't been using any other skin product to clear my skin at all recently, so my lack of spots and more even and bright skin is down to Superdug's own brand.

I am totally loving it. They are purse friendly and effective.

Simply Pure wash: £2.69

Simply Foam Cleanser: £2.69

Clearly Youthful Serum: £4.89

I never back anything I don't truly believe in and to me right now, these are miracle products.

You can find these all in your local Superdrug right now.

Fake A Golden Glow Without A Tan | My Top 8 Drugstore Face Products That You Must Have

leluroxxblogger, smokeyeyes, septumpiercing, vagasnaylashes, halo, eyemakeup, makeuplook

Evening lovelies :)

Who's been loving this heatwave in the UK?

Not me, that's fo'so!! I cannot stand the hot weather, I am constantly in black clothing and don't really wear Summer dresses so I just end up sweating my arse off!!

I love to layer my clothes and wear dark colours. I use my makeup to add the colour... I am not that Emo. :)

Seeing as I am lits like Casper 99.9% of the year, I decided to do a golden glow look on my face to warm me up a little.

Being pale isn't always great because I tend to look like I am taking part in a horror movie, I do like to be tanned now and then. I dislike the heavy fake tan look however, we want a glow ladies not freaking Wotsits!!!

I didn't want to apply fake tan to my face because lets face it a number of things could majorly go wrong. It could be a catastrophic event! Ha ha.

I have taken my must-have/go to products (8 of them in fact) that I use to create a fake golden tan... Well without the tan involved. The products I have used are all drugstore brands which is great if you're on a budget and I feel they produce a real nice NATURAL gleaming, glow on your beautiful moon face!

Here we goooooooo....

nyx cosmetics, illuminating, glow, healthy makeup, natural tan, pale skin,
nyx cosmetics, illuminating, glow, healthy makeup, natural tan, pale skin,

On top of my primer I put on the Nyx 'Born To Glow' liquid illuminiator. My shade is 'Pure Gold' and I dab this around my face and blend it in with my hand first and then with a buffing brush. This is to give me a natural glow under my foundation.

My next step is to apply foundation. Now the rule to this is to actually apply a base shade that is either slightly lighter or to match your skin tone. I find that if you go lighter on the base it makes your glow a lot more natural when you build up the bronzer.

Today I am using L'Oreal's Infallible 24hr foundation in 'Ivory'. It's a matte finish foundation so if you want it more dewy I would suggest spritzing some of Mac's Fix Plus.

bronzer, contour, seventeen, collection, bronzeglow, sunkissed makeup,

Okay so to achieve the 'golden glow' that's as natural looking as the sun I will lightly dust the Seventeen 'Instant Glow' Pink Rocks bronzer in the areas that the sun would naturally touch. It has a slight shimmer to it which makes the finish soft and not harsh.

I will then go in with Collection's 'Bronze Glow' powder to contour my cheekbones. They are already prominent but I just give them an extra boost and I will then blend in with a buffing brush.

the balm, highlighter, mary lou manizer, baking, highlight and contour, the balm, highlighter, mary lou manizer, baking, highlight and contour,
the balm, highlighter, mary lou manizer, baking, highlight and contour,

For highlighter and to finish the face off I have been using The Balm's 'Mary-Lou Manizer' and it's beautiful. It has a massive highlight payoff and is really pigmented. You don't need a lot to get an amazing highlight on your face. I will highlight the top of my cheeks with this, the bridge of my nose, chin, top lip and forehead.

I will apply my Collection 'Lasting Perfection' concealer before hand on the areas that I will highlight so it's already lightened and will glow spectacularly.

makeup revolution, matte eyeshadow, eyelook, smokey eye, drugstore, nudes,
nyx, brow pomade, eyebrows, eyebrows on fleek,

On the eyes, I have been using Nyx's Tame and Frame tinted brow pomade on my brows. I am still trying to get used to that as I usually use powders.

And to give the eyes a matching look I will use Makeup Revolution's Matte shadow palette to give me a light smokey eye.

This is the finished look.

smokey eye, nude lips, mac cosmetics, bronzed makeup, natural makeup, summer style,

As you can see, it'a a light bronzed look that I have gone for, no orange streaks in sight. It's also light enough to wear throughout the summer as you can adapt the base from full coverage to light. It's a real versatile look that can be adapted to all skin tones, that's what is so good about it. It's a look for everyone.

Seriously, this look is easy to achieve and you just end up looking lovely and healthy. I don't get out much right now because of my hay fever so I am lacking in vitamin D big time.

This way, I am cheating my glow.

All these products you can find in Superdrug and Boots in the UK.

Spectrum Collections 8 Piece Eye Set Review | Plus Unicorn Eye Makeup Look.

braids, pastel hair, natural makeup, new look, beauty blogger,

Evening beautiful people!!!!

I apologise now for not posting on Thursday (just gone), I have had an awful week. Cody, my Guinea Pig almost died. He was soooo poorly. It's a real long story which I will save for another day but to put a long story short...

He stopped eating, going to the toilet and I noticed his breathing was awful, he was struggling to breathe and I couldn't understand why. So I was back and forth at the vets, which is a way away from me for almost a week. He had to stay in their hospital twice and is on a lot of meds. Basically, he has Pneumonia caused by his stupid middle ear infection, so it's been touch and go again. If you don't know the full story about Codes you can read it here

So yeah, that's why I have been M.I.A. a lot from social media and my blog. Obviously my little piggy comes first so I hope you understand.

:)

As you have guessed from the title this little post is solely dedicated the the marvellous Spectrum Collections.

"The World's most instagramable makeup brushes."

Everyone has heard of them so I don't need to introduce the brand to you because these brushes are highly sort after.

Spectrum kindly sent me their 8-piece eye blending brush set last week to try out and review, which is super nice of them. I am really grateful.

I did want the marble brushes but unfortunately they had sold out completely. These brushes however are totally cute and totally unicorn themed!!

Well they could be either Mermaid or Unicorn themed, you can decide!!

I love the colour scheme of these brushes, they are so bright and playful and so darn cute!! They are also vegan registered and cruelty free. Can someone give me a "hell yeah"!

They feel sturdy in your hand but also lightweight enough to be able to control the brushes whilst using them.

Can I just say... The bristles... OMG they are SOOOOOOO soft!!! I don't think I have ever felt anything like it, bar from a fluffy animal being rubbed on my face. Ha.

Seriously, you need to feel them!! In fact you can get yours here for £29.99.

Oh wait, what is this? They are currently on sale for £22.99. GO GO GO!!!

When it comes to trying out new brushes, I really do have to get used to them. Once I have been using a set for a while and then swap to a new one you have to get to grips on how to handle them.

Crikey it's sounds like I am trying to tame a beast. :D

My first challenge was trying to work out which brush does what. They brushes themselves have a letter and number code on them but not a titled name. To find out, you have to go onto their website.

Me, I just winged it and used them for what I thought would suit certain areas of my eye.

spectrum, spectrum collections, makeup brushes, morphe palette, makeup geeks, beauty bay,

I actually really enjoyed working with these brushes. I think the fact that the bristles are so soft really helped with the blending process. The only thing I would say is that because the brush heads are pretty dense but fluffy, when applying the shadow it will pick up the product but it takes a couple of attempts to build the colour up. Other than that I really enjoyed using them.

spectrum, spectrum collections, eye brushes, beauty bloggers, blending brush,

I wanted to create a whole makeup look surrounding the theme of these brushes and to only use these brushes obviously on my eyes.

This is what I created below, I took the pinks, purples and blues of the brushes and adapted these onto my eye look.

Spectrum, I hope you like what I have created with your fab brushes!! Thank you again for your kindness!

My Current Skin Care Evening Routine | My Go To Skin Products Right Now.

"eye makeup" "smokey halo" "beauty blogger" "beauty bay" "makeup geeks"

Yo yo yo.

Everyone well?

I am actually quite tired today. I have been up the last couple of nights/mornings to look after my guinea pig Cody as he's been a little poorly. When he gets like that then it's around the clock care. It's exhausting.

I have an interview tomorrow, I am really nervous. This is my 7th month not working so I am a little anxious.

I have lits watched everything on my Netflix account now. I have just finished watching Reign - which is a period drama and it was amaze. The men are hot and the lead who plays Mary (Adelaide Kane) is beautiful. I cannot wait until the 4th season is out.

Recently I have been getting breakouts, the little buggers have been having a jolly little party on my chin. They just won't go away, no matter what I do, they seem to look like they are going away but they will just pop back up. They are scaring my skin and I am not best pleased about it.

I have a morning skincare routine but never really one at night. I just take my makeup off and that's about it. Seriously ladies not taking your makeup off at night is a cardinal sin (oh gosh, I am even adopting their speech now), it kills your skin and makes you feel like crap when you wake up. Don't do it.

Since the whole chin break out thang I have decided to up my skin care game and go in hard at night. It's a good time to do it because it's when your skin is rejuvenating and repairing itself.

Below you will see my entire skin care routine and what I am currently using to keep everything tip-top.

STEP 1 - Cleanse

"miceller water" "garnier" "skin cleanse" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

This is such an obvious step and please ignore my lack of makeup and I took these pics at night, for obvious reasons. Ha. So, my first step is to take off my makeup. I don't always do a deep cleanse at night as I don't want to strip all the oils from my face. I have dry skin and that won't help. I will go in instead with my Garnier Micella water. I usually use the pink bottle but decided to give this one a go. I just get a couple of cotton pads and remove the days makeup.

When I do cleanse, I now use the Superdrug gentle cleansing wash. It's free from all the crap and is great for sensitive skin.

I miss my liz Earle 'Cleanse and Polish' but I had a reaction to it so I cannot use it anymore.

STEP 2 - Serum

"superdrug" "serum" "skin serum" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

Superdrug have bought out their new range of skin care products called 'Clearly Youthful', they had an offer on so I thought I would give them a go because what they claimed to do intrigued me.

"superdrug" "serum" "skin serum" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

After I have taken my makeup off I will then apply 3-4 drops of this night serum to the back of my hand and apply to my face and neck in circular motions.

This resurfacing night serum claims to even out skin tone, minimise the appearance of dark-spots and hyper-pigmentation. It's main aim is to 'visibly improve the appearance of blemishes and imperfections' with the highly concentrated formula.

This really appealed to me because I do have an uneven skin tone so I am hoping this will help.

There's so much information on the packaging, I love that and I like the fact this product has a pipette to release the product.

STEP 3 - Blemishes

"superdrug" "blemishes" "spot treatment" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

Next I will go in with Superdrug's (out of the same range as above) Blemish Treatment Gel.

Again this is highly concentrated and claims to 'visibly reduce the appearance of blemishes'. Basically I use this to treat my spots right now. This product and the above have a written timeline on the box to inform you on what to expect -  instantly, after a couple of hours and 1-4 weeks. It's really useful. The only thing I don't like about this packaging is the fact it has a pump dispenser which means too much product comes out of it.

"superdrug" "blemishes" "spot treatment" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

I apply a thin layer of this on each and every spot or blemish to try and reduce the effects.

STEP 4 - Eyes

"simple skin care" "eye cream" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

I was lacking in the eye creams... Well I have none. I needed a nice eye cream to sooth my eye area as I work on my eyes a lot and they do get sore from rubbing the makeup off.

I love Simple as a brand and I use their face cream daily, I have sensitive skin and I can react to things. I know with Simple everything is natural so less risk of a reaction.

This one is a soothing eye balm, which soothes and nurtures, reduces puffiness and winds down and relaxes the eye. I just pat this around my under eyes until the product has sunk in and then around the top of my eyes. I use this in the day too.

"simple skin care" "eye cream" "skin care" "skin product" "makeup"

STEP 5 - Lips pt 1

"kiko" "lip scrub" "lip care" "lip balm" "makeup" "evening routine"

Lips are next, this is one of my main problem areas, they are SO dry and the skin builds up on them, when I am nervous I pick my lips so that doesn't help.

I went into Kiko months back now... Actually not long after the new year. I found their night balm and lip scrub which is in stick form.

I use the lip scrub first, it basically looks like a lipstick only with lip scrub in it. Handy much. The only thing with this is, it goes down pretty quickly. I use this sparingly as I don't want it to run out. I then use the balm after I have rubbed the scrub off.

I really do use a lot of products on my lips as they currently need the most help.

"kiko" "lip scrub" "lip care" "lip balm" "makeup" "evening routine"

STEP 6 - Lips pt 2

"barry m" "lip oil" "lip care" "lip balm" "makeup" "evening routine"

I recently bought the Barry M lip oil. It's new to their range and I bought the coconut one as it's clear. They have two in the range.

I apply this on top of the Kiko balm.

"barry m" "lip oil" "lip care" "lip balm" "makeup" "evening routine"

STEP 7 - Lips pt 3

"blistex" "lip cream" "lip care" "lip balm" "makeup" "evening routine"

Finally, I apply the Blistex 'Intensive Moisture' cream balm to my lips. I LOVE this stuff, I was watching Amy's Makeup Box's video on YouTube and she mentioned that she uses this and it works a treat on dry lips.

She wasn't wrong, it's improved the condition of my lips a lot.

Thanks Amy *kisses*.
