What I Got For My Birthday // The Lowdown!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

*DISCLAIMER* "I am in no way bragging about what I received/brought for my birthday. I like reading and watching posts like these and I thought it would be nice to follow up from my 'Birthday Wishlist'. Some people are interested in subjects like this as much as I am so I hope you enjoy reading this post and if any of you have post's like this I would love to read/watch them. Leave any links in my comments".

Helloooooaaaa!!!

The time had come to say "hello" to my birthday and "goodbye" just as quickly.

I hate it when that happens.

I get so excited about things really easily and remain that way for months until the day is finally upon me.

Then I get the blues.

So, here is the lowdown of the run up to my day of birth and the actual day I was popped out into the world.

The week running up to my birthday I decided to get sick. I don't know what it was, some sort of bug but all I know was I felt extremely rotten. I had a constant sickness feeling so spent most of my time trying to sleep it off. I went off all food and drink and could barely move. The night before my birthday (6th August) I was meant to be going to the cinema with my brother and then grabbing a pizza after. That didn't happen because I was far too ill to leave the house, so we watched a movie in my room instead until like 2 am.

The morning of my birthday I thought I would wake up feeling so much better. I was wrong, I still felt really rough. My parent's had to practically drag me out of bed to open my cards and presents. I was still excited though! :)

This is what I came downstairs to.

:)

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

My parents always make it pretty downstairs on my birthday. It reminds me of when I was younger and I am a stickler for tradition. In our household it's always tradition for mum and dad to keep things like this a secret and I am not allowed to come downstairs until the morning.

I had mostly money and the couple of presents you see there are off my parents as little 'extra's'.

This is what they were.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
SWEETS!!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
MY FAVOURITES SO FAR.

My brother brought me THE BEST present EVER. And it was one of the main things I had put on my 'Wishlist' post. I will keep what he brought me a secret until the end of the post as an element of surprise for you!!! He tried to get it for me to open on my birthday but it had sold out everywhere in the shops so it was being delivered into store the next day. I was that shocked I cried a little (plus I was all emotional anyway due to feeling sick. Ha).

Yeah, so I had brought a dress to wear specially on my birthday. Call it my 'birthday outfit'. And it's very different to what I usually wear, it's quite 'girly' for me and it was from Topshop.

I fell in love with it when I saw it. Whether it suited me or not, I am not too sure.

By this point I was feeling a little better. I hadn't been shopping properly for ages and couldn't wait to get out of the house. I went to Merryhill (near Birmingham, UK) shopping centre as all the shops are indoors and it's always been a tradition for me to go there. I even got a free Krispy Kreme because it was my birthday. :)

The first place I ALWAYS wonder into is the Disney Store. I LOVE it in there, I am such a child, I walk in there and wish I had toys like that available when I was younger. Awesome place to unleash your inner child.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Next I stopped off at Lush!! The lady that served me in that store was a little rude, she kept staring at me and made me feel really uncomfortable. So I only brought one thing as I didn't want to stay there any longer. Not like the Bristol and Worcester stores who have super cool staff.

Not long after this I thought it was best to probably eat something as I hadn't eaten for a few days and I was hoping it wouldn't make me feel worse. It actually made me feel a lot better and it was really nice. I went to the food hall where they have loads of different canteens. There was Indian food, Chinese, Greek, Italian, a fish and chip shop and your good ol' faves like KFC and Burger King. I really liked the look of the Indian food so had a Chicken Tikka wrap with 'Aloo fries' (chips). I was going to go for the curry but I didn't want anything to heavy, it was really good, I took half of the chicken out as I am not a massive meat eater. But it did the trick. :)

YUUUMMMMYYY!!

I am now going to show you the rest of the morning snaps and what I brought that day. I didn't actually get as much as I thought I would as I started to flag towards the end of the afternoon. So I still have quite a bit of money left over. When I got home mum and dad put out little bits of party food and then I had my cake. It was a pretty good birthday all in all and I had some nice messages on Facebook and Twitter.

I felt the love.

P.S. Don't forget to take a look at what my brother brought me at the end of this post!! :)

I got a couple of things off my 'wishlist' but when visiting Superdrug to get the Real Techniques Expert Face Brush, I came across this brand of makeup, Makeup Revolution to be exact. And apparently they come from the people who created MUA. The prices were great and the man at the till forgot to charge me for the 18 coloured eyeshadow pallete. SCORE. I didn't realise until I got out the store and checked my receipt.

Thanks for my extra birthday present. *Thumbs up*.

The jumper and trousers were from H&M. Most of my clothes come from there, I love the shop although there sizes are real small. They don't size up very well. Anyway, the jumper was in the sale and the velvet textured stretchy jeans were new in. I fell in love with both. Can't wait to wear them!

Now for the best present of all....

ufhyikhfihfshaodhyeihi (that is how excited I was/am).

YES!!! He brought me the frickin blue Fujifilm Instax Camera!!!

I haven't used it yet as I want to get more films for it, oh and a case and photo album. Seriously though, how expensive are the films!! Lower the price Fujifilm, no one likes overpriced items.

Loved it all!!

Primark Haul // And Some Other Fun Bits!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Hey lovely people!!

I haven't posted for a couple of days because I have been feeling really unwell. :( I have a bug of some sort and it's my birthday tomorrow (7th Aug) so I am hoping when I wake up it's gone away.

To try and take my mind of feeling constantly sick I have decided to post my Primark haul. It's only a small one as I brought this stuff a couple of weeks ago now and thought you guys should see it. I have some other things that I have brought, that isn't Primark related so I will add those in too. :)

Enjoy :)

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I LOVE this baby blue/pastel boyfriend coat!!! I have been looking for one EVERYWHERE. I did want the pink version but they didn't have it in stock, so I tried this one on and fell in love with it. Even the colour. It's so soft and definitely doesn't look like a Primark number. Obviously it's a little pre-mature for me to buy a coat whilst we are still in summer. But I like to think ahead and I couldn't let this beauty slip through my fingers. It only cost £23 too which is a complete steal where coats are concerned.

Love it.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The coat is amazing quality and I cannot wait to wear it in the winter/fall. I got mine in a size 8 and as it's a boyfriend fit it will come up a little larger as that's the style. So I would definitely try it on for fit.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I found this in the Pyjama section so I am gathering it's like a night t-shirt. I tried to get it in a bigger size so it came up like a nighty in length. Evidently even though I brought it in like a size 16 it still came up short.

I loved the little quote on it and the marble effect. It cost only £5 so not breaking the bank at all and the material is pretty thick so it isn't of cheap quality but thin enough to wear in the summer.

Just a nice little bedtime comfy staple to wear on it's own or with PJ bottoms.

I have been after some fairy lights to put in my room because I am re-decorating it. These are battery operated ones but I do want some decent plug in ones eventually. But for £3 these are actually pretty decent. You get 20 in the pack and when tested they all worked.

Not a bad job Primarni!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

They look super pretty when turned on!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

This is the final thing that I brought from Primark and it was £1 and it is the best smelling bubble bath ever!! This was the last one and I can see why. It smells like sweets and comes out bright pink.

A girls dream.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I quickly popped into Superdrug when I was in Birmingham for my brother's birthday and saw the 'Look' makeup stand. Everything was half price as they were discontinuing the brand and this was the only product left. They did have an awesome bright pink lip liner to go with this but it had gone. :(

So yeah, as I have kind of given it away already this is a bright pink lipstick and cost £3.50. They did have the products still on the website when I last looked. It might have changed now though. I haven't tried this lipstick yet because it looks so pretty but I am sure it will be good. It has some cool packaging and the colour is highly pigmented so I am hoping the colour payoff will be the same.

I brought the next items and I will be honest with you, I don't see what the hype is with these Revlon Colourburst Matte Balms. I didn't like how they looked on swatch and it wasn't as matte as I expected them to be.

I am not a fan and won't be using them.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Obviously I took a little stroll into Lush. Of course. And re-purchased the 'Butterball' as it was so amazing. I will add a little video of me using it at the end of this post. :)

I also decided to try a bubble Bar called 'Creamy Candy' and it smelt really nice. I wasn't sure if I liked that I had to crumble it into my bath as I burnt my hands a few times. In the end I just did it under the cold water. Since using it though I will definitely be buying some more.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

As you can see I went a little overboard with the bubbles.

I hope you enjoyed my haul and I will be back with my birthday one shortly. :)

Happy Day of Birth To Me // My Birthday Wishlist.

Thanks to some lovely ladies on Twitter I now know why my images were changing on upload. So now it's all fixed I can stop tearing my hair out.

Thanks girlies if you are reading :)

So, it's my day of birth on the 7th August and I will be the grand old age of 27. Now some of you won't believe that I will be that age as most people think I am like 20. I wish.

But yes, I am nearing 30 and it's making me feel sick in my actual mouth. The thought of me ever being that age is horrendous.

Yeah, so I am planning on going shopping in the day...And the night time... Well I am a little unsure what's going on. I am also thinking the night before I might go to the cinema to watch either the new Purge or Inbetweeners 2 movie. I need to fit in a night out too because I have not been out for MONTHS.

Either way I am planning on having a good time and to buy lots of nice things. :) Oh and eat lots!! That's a must.

Today's post will consist of my 'Birthday Wishlist' things that I will be getting and some things that I would love to get. It's just a fun little post and I will be following up with what I actually brought!

Have fun browsing.

I already own so Barry M makeup brushes and I am not going to lie...They suck!! The foundation brush is horrendous and doesn't blend the foundation at all, so I have been recommended Real Techniques brushes. I ideally would love the Zoeva Brush set in 'rose gold' or Bobby Brown's face brush, but they are currently way out of my price range.

So here are my top three.

Real Techniques Expert Face Brush.

Real Techniques Stippling Brush.

Real Techniques Powder Brush.

This next item has been on my list for a while now and I am in love with how quirky and retro it is. I love the blue colour too, I did originally want the pink but I found blue would suit me better. I am really obsessed with camera's and photography at the moment and I love this little instant baby.

Blue Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 Camera.

http://www.bhphotovideo.com/c/product/909242-REG/fujifilm_16273439_instax_mini_8_camera.html

I LOVE the Lush shop now that I have actually discovered it. And this bath bomb is one that I really want but for some reason haven't picked it up yet. It turns your bath all pink, blue and purple and apparently it's really good before bed and it de-stresses you...Which is totally what I need.

Lush 'Twilight' Bath Ballistic.

I brought the Revlon Colourburst Matte sticks the other week and I really don't see the hype with them. It was a toss up between those and the item listed here. So I am going to try this lipstick out and HOPE it will live up to the hype this time.

Bourjois Rouge Edition Velvet Lipstick.
http://www.emtalks.co.uk/2014/04/bourjois-rouge-edition-velvet-lipstick.html

I am loving this group at the moment and have a few of their songs already. I just find this album really upbeat and it's great for listening to in the car on a summers day.

Awesome album.

Neon Jungle 'Welcome To The Jungle' Album.

http://www.josepvinaixa.com/blog/neon-jungle-welcome-to-the-jungle-deluxe-itunes/

I follow Tanya's blog and YouTube channel and was notified (in one of her vids) that she was bringing out her own line of makeup. Loads of people have purchased her lip glosses and I particularly love her 'nude' range. I am looking to buy 'Chic' or 'Picnic in the Park.

Tanya Burr Lip glosses.

I have wanted one of these brushes for years now. My hair is quite long and has bleach underneath so it tends to knot quite easily and I am not a fan of ripping my hair out. And these "apparently" glide through your hair with ease removing tangles and not damaging your hair in the process. I need to try this.

Tangle Teezer.
http://www.purrrchase.hk/main/web/index.php?id=TT-comb

Again, I have wanted these since they have come out. I don't think they are really worth forking out almost £40 for them so I am either going to wait for them to come down in price or just get them. They aren't in any of the stores I have visited so I don't know if it is just an online thing? But yeah, I love these a lot.

New Look Cleated Sole Boots.

http://www.newlook.com/shop/shoe-gallery/boots/black-chunky-cleated-sole-platform-shoe-boots_307250501

I like this River Island sweat for obvious reasons. It's frickin cool. I don't know what the hang is like on this but I like mine quite baggy. I also love the colour and it just looks cosy and you can just chill in it or dress it up to go into town.

Winner.

River Island 'Fashion Blogger' Sweat.

Ahhhh I love these a lot. I think everyone has a pair of these except for me. I saw a blogger with them on and I was like "ooohhh I must get some". They will literally go with anything and I love that in a clothing item.

American Apparel Black Disco Pants.

http://www.polyvore.com/american_apparel_disco_pants/thing?id=55369118

I don't really use powder products on my face but I have seen this used quite a lot so it must be good. Just something to try out. :)

Rimmel Stay Matte Powder.

http://www.walmart.com/ip/Rimmel-Stay-Matte-Pressed-Powder/14551435

Since I worked at Claire's Accessories and had to wear like £100 worth of jewellery every time I was on shift, it has really put me off wearing any. I do however LOVE sterling silver rings as they don't turn your fingers green or go rusty.

I love this one from Accessorize and had my eye on it for a while now.

Accessorize Sterling Silver Ring.

I like Body Shop's body butters and what girl doesn't like chocolate?!

I cannot wait for their Christmas range to come back out!!

Body Shop 'Chocomania' Body Butter.

http://www.thebodyshop.com/by-line/chocomania.aspx

I have been searching high and low for this book and have just reserved it at Waterstones. I love reading and this looks interesting. I already brought Binky's (Made In Chelsea) book and loved it so I am hoping this is just as good.

Lucy Watson's 'The Dating Game' Book.

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/femail/article-2604165/Made-In-Chelseas-Lucy-Watson-unveils-dating-guide-help-women-avoid-mistakes-made.html

I really would like a DSLR camera so I can start my YouTube channel and take even more awesome pictures. I wanted the Canon 600d but for some reason they are discontinuing them which is highly annoying as it was in my price range and had a flip out screen. Now the 700d is it's replacement but I am unsure if it has a flip screen or not and it's waaaayyy more expensive.

Can any of you guys enlighten me on this issue and also are Canon better than Nikon?

Canon 600d & 700d DSLR Camera

http://www.amateurphotographer.co.uk/reviews/dslrs/129185/1/canon-eos-600d-review

There are loads more things I could of added on here but the one's listed are the main things that stuck in my head.

Even though turning 27 makes me feel ill I can cheer myself up by buying things that will make me happy.

I hope you enjoyed browsing through.

Until next time...
