15 L'Oreal Beauty Products I Am Currently Loving | Drugstore Brand That Dupes High End.

Hello beauties.

I didn't post on Monday as I have a sickness bug and right about then I was feeling sooooo ill. I haven't been ill in a long time but when I do, I get it bad. Typical.

Sometimes it can be really hard to find drugstore products that will impress you as much as a high end product always tends to do. It's always a battle whether to splurge on that one high end product that will put you into a bank balance coma or to cop out and drugstore it in a ride or die fashion. I always sit there and think -  'well for this £50 I could buy this, this and this for the same amount'. 9/10 you end up wishing you had just given into the seduction and bought that god damn highlighter.

I will be totally honest, I have never really given a second thought to L'Oreal makeup when I go into the the drugstore. I tend to walk straight past it. "Why?!" - I hear you shout. Why indeed, I have been missing out all these years on a brand that is actually pretty amazing!!! I have tried so many of their products now that I am totally smitten. I love that the brand is a more luxurious part of the drugstore furniture and they have products that will suit everyone. Their skin tone range is one of the best I have seen as they have so many colours that will match every skin type possible. They have really catered for their audience.

As I have been loving so much of their beauty products recently I decided that I will collate the ones that I reach for the most and what I would totally recommend that you buy a.s.a.p.

This isn't sponsored (obviously) but as I am dedicating this post to one brand I thought I would add that little detail in. I will always give you my honest opinions and recommendations and for me I feel this selection is some of their best work.

Well played L'Oreal. :)

It is totally no secret of how much I am in LOVE with this foundation. I have been plastering my social media accounts with this product and have been telling you guys to buy it. I SWORE by my Maybelline 24hr foundation and then I tried this bad boy out and I was obsessed straight away. If you're anything like me and like a full-coverage, matte base then this IS THE ONE! I use shade 'Vanilla' and it has a yellow undertone and since using this I have found this actually suits my pale complexion better than a pink undertone (Maybelline). It literally gives you a flawless base and is a super steal at £8.99. This is totally apt for Autumn too as matte is in all the way.

This is their sculpt kit and it's great because it's a cream to powder formula and it's super bendable, and this is GREAT for all pale to medium skin tones. They have a light version and dark, obviously I have the lighter one and it's mega nice to work with. If you're in a rush in the morning, reach for this as it saves so much time in the contouring department.

I love L'Oreal's Infallible range a lot and this powder is no exception, it's matte (of course) and it just sets the foundation in place and is 24hr (as is the foundation). They compliment each other like Joey Tribbiani and pizza.

As we have transitioned into Autumn now, I tend to bring my blusher's into the realms of warmth to heat up my little pale face. Ha. This really compliments again, quite fair to medium toned skin. It adds a touch of glow and makes your complexion a lot more awake and healthy. Just what you need after a heavy night out ladies!! Plus this baby has a cute little compartment underneath that you undo to reveal a mini brush and mirror. Bag space saver!!

I thought - 'Oooh I will try this kit out' as it was so dinky and compact and I thought it would be great to carry in your makeup bag because it has everything your brows could possibly need. The left pan is a wax and the right pan is the powder. It is super pigmented and is what I use on my brows every day since I tried it. I love the little spoolie and angled brush which is included.

Sticking to the Autumnal theme I have a few colours of this polish but this shade is freakin beaut, totally perf for the Autumn days and will go with every outfit possible. What I love about this polish is that it has a top coat with it and it sets the nail as if you have had gels done at the salon. I really like the formula and finish of this polish and the colour pay off is true to what you see in the bottle. You only need 1 or 2 coats and you're done.

For me, L'Oreal's felt liners are some of the best, okay I do love my trusty Supercat liner but I also love to try new products and I adore their Super Liner - Perfect Slim as it really has a slim nib that ensures you are going to get that wing to cut cheese with. It's an intense black too which is also a plus. I hate it when you have to keep going over liners. This one, you don't need to.

l'oreal, eye dots, morphe brushes, 350, vagas nay, false lashes, beauty bay, bbdaretoshare, infallible, matte, red lipstick,

This has got to be my second favourite item out of this list because it is pure freaking genius. I mean c'mon have you seen another liner pen like this ANYWHERE? It has a rounded nib that creates the perfect dot. If you have followed me for a while you will know that I love to cray cray my makeup looks and eye dots are one of my favourites and this has made it super easy to get the perfect dot. I am so in love with this it's unreal.

Matte is totally in this Fall and for me it's always been 'in'. I love to carry a matte lip and this liquid lippy is such a beautiful colour and the formula is thick with an adapted doe-foot application. I like the thickness of the product as it ensures even coverage but doesn't sit heavy on your lips. It stays put all day. I do find you do get a little transfer from it but not a bad product at all.

Mascara's don't really do anything for my lashes, I mean they are straighter than a heterosexual and nothing can be done to change that. It's blummin annoying. I do like their ' Miss Hippie' mascara, the applicator is all spiky and interesting to look at. It's super black and has many good reviews from people that actually have normal lashes. Ha.

This is another fave. This reminds me of their nail polish I showed you earlier. This is a liquid lipstick one end and has a finishing balm at the other end. This colour is gorge and is in-between a nude and taupe. You literally apply the liquidness  and then you apply the balm to set it in place. And I am not joking you, this does NOT BUDGE!!! It says there through thick and thin and dries matte too.

L'Oreal have great shadows and I especially love this one as it is super pigmented and works beautifully as a highlight for your brow bone, inner corner of the eyes and on the cheeks. Trust me, if you have this 'nude' shade and haven't used it as a highlight, you need to.

This shade is perfect for Autumn and even for going out, again it's super pigmented and works amazingly on the lid of a smokey eye. I mean look at the above picture. Glowing for days.

As well as loving their makeup, I have a soft spot for their hair and skincare ranges. This cleansing oil is sooooo nice to use to take your makeup off, it leaves your face so soft afterwards and you don't need a lot either which means this is going to last you for a long while.

These masks guys!!! I feel everyone has tried these now but I am adding these in here because I am addicted to them. I love everything about them and the detox mask is awesome because you can actually see the crap seeping into the mask as it's drawing the dirt out. I am hormonal right now and have had a breakout so I used this today to give me a lovely face detox.

If you haven't tried these products out you really need to, you won't be disappointed at all. They are all purse friendly and are just as good as your high end products, if not better.

Let me know if you have already tried any of these and tell me what you think.

Sleek 'Matte Me' Liquid Lipsticks | Drugstore Budget for High End Dupe.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Yo my little friends.

Welcome back to another blog post at the end of another week.

I don't actually think we have had a Summer this year, all it's done is rain. I mean I have a freaking candle on in my room beside me and a hot water bottle. Although I must admit I am actually feeling pretty hot right now.

I am currently watching Tudors as I am running out of things to watch on Netflix. Jonathan Rhys Meyers though...

*Insert love heart*

He is a beautiful creature.

I really need to curb my makeup spending you know because I need to get through what I have, plus my savings are seriously draining because of the bills coming out.

Right now, I am not loving life.

What I am currently loving though is Sleek.

You can find them in Superdrug and now in Boots stores. They have so many wonderful pieces, I especially love their liners which can used both on the eyes and lips and come in some super cool shades.

I have always walked past their counters and have been highly interested in their 'Matte Me' liquid lipstick range. Previously I haven't invested because I am not a fan of liquid lipsticks.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The reason being is that I over draw my top lip to equal out my bottom lip and if I am honest, I am sick of doing so.

I am seriously considering getting my lips done. For me my mouth is my least favourite feature.

I couldn't resist no more and I really wanted to get their shade 'Shabby Chic' but it was sold out everywhere by me. I had to actually travel around 80 miles to get this lipstick.

Dedication.

Again, I will be honest, I didn't have high hopes for this product as I am really fussy when it comes to what formula I put on my lips.

The packaging is pretty simple, it's in a see-through, oblong, glass like tube with matte lettering and matte screw on lid.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

It is priced at £4.99 which is a complete steal as you get a lot of product and it doesn't look cheap at all.

The colour 'Shabby Chic' is very similar to Kylie Cosmetics 'Posie K' which is a muted, opaque, and mauve shade.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I don't own Kylie's kits but I have seen a lot of people wearing this shade and for me 'Shabby Chic' is a complete dupe for a fraction of the price.

The applicator is a flat doe-foot, which I am actually fond of, it makes it easy to line the lips and gives an even finish to the product on the lips also.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The consistency of the product is pretty thick but it doesn't apply that way, it applies so even and true to colour.

It's super pigmented and you don't get any blotches when drying.

Speaking of drying, it dries in quick time and dries really matte.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I am truly impressed with this product, it feels amazing when applying on the lips, it's so soft and velvety and is does what it says on the tin.

I loved it that much I went out and bought their shade 'Birthday Suit'. This one again I feel is a dupe for Kylie Jenner's 'Candy K'.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

This shade is more of a nude compared to 'Shabby Chic' with a more brown/pink undertone, not as mauve as the other.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I am so in love with these I want them all. I love Sleek as a brand and feel that their prices are super fair for the quality of their products. They are really well made and presented to a high standard.

There's a lot of their range that I want but I will have to wait until some miracle happens and I get a job. Ha.

As said previously, photographing my mouth isn't one of my favourites because they are constantly dry and not in the best condition. Ha.

The photo's above are with one coat, not bad I say.

They are totally buildable but once a few layers are on, the matte feeling is quite apparent and it can feel a little dry.

Typical of a matte product anyway. Nothing different.

All in all, you NEED to get these liquid lipsticks if you haven't already. They are freaking awesome!!!

Artis Professional Oval Brush Dupe | First Impressions.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Evvveeenninnggg ladies and gents.

Y'all good? I am having a great week (makes a change), still job searching though (which hasn't changed). Ha.

Being the makeup addict that I am, I cannot resist buying new bits and bobs to try out, I get so excited. The little things ay!

I save just as much as I spend, so I am pretty good with money. Obviously, right now I am being careful with what I am spending for clear reasons. However, I was reading LoveLaughsLipstick's tweet and she mentioned a dupe for the Artis brushes that are currently taking over the country by storm. She had bought a dupe brush off Ebay to see if it was any good. I totally jumped on the bandwaggon and I am not ashamed to admit it. Ha. She kindly passed me the link and I ordered one.

Now, if you are not quite sure what I am talking about it's those weird looking brushes that look like something you would brush your dog with which are oval, with a long handle on them. You may have seem girls using them in tutorials on Instagram where they are literally brushing their face with this thing. As odd as it sounded and looked I really wanted to try the Artis brushes.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

These Artis brushes aren't on the cheap side let me tell you and they are obviously highly priced because they are freaking amazing. Well they better be anyway I would want to come out looking like freaking Kendall Jenner!!

They look amazing anyway and the makeup looks airbrushed it's blended so well.

I picked up my brush on Ebay from a UK company, it's unbranded and it cost me £2. It's not breaking the bank so if it was utterly useless I wouldn't need to cry myself to sleep at night.

It arrived, it was a lot smaller than I thought, the picture made it look a lot bigger and it said it was for use with foundation.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Time to test it, I applied my foundation and then attacked my face with this contraption. The brush is pretty dense and it felt really strange rubbing it around my face, I wasn't really sure how to use it either. I was just rubbing my foundation in, in a bout of circular motions. Ha.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I am going to be completely honest. I didn't like how it transferred my foundation at all. For me, it picked up more product than it actually left on my face. It applied pretty evenly considering but I did notice little patches on my checks where it looked as if I had wiped the makeup off. It didn't leave me with my usual matte finish that I get with my expert face brush and didn't seem as seamless. My foundation also looked like it had oxidised a lot too. coincidence maybe?

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I need my dark circles covered and it can be hard to do so, this didn't help matters as you kind of sweep the brush over that area.

For foundation it was a no, no. Fo'sure.

It blended my concealer in around my chin fine, not so much around my eyes but it did blend my cream contour in nicely, so if anything I will be using it for that.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I think out of it all it has really intrigued me to try the Artis brushes. I want to see what all the hype is about properly.

For £2 you can't grumble but I think I was expecting better results. A girl can dream. Ha.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I hope you enjoyed my first impressions on this brush and it might help you make your own decision on whether to buy it or not.

Don't forget to give me a follow here if you liked this post.

Love
