Autumn Fashion - My Style, On Trend & High Street | New Look | H & M | Primark

Hello my lovely lot!!!

IT'S FREAKIN AUTUMN MAAAYYNNN!!!

This is legit my favourite time of the year, if you have followed my blog or my social media for a while then this will not be brand new information. Ha.

This is totally when I am at my happiest, don't get me wrong I love the Summer for... Well, the sun and stuff - the sun also makes me happy but for me I cannot wait for Summer to be over. I know some of you will be screaming at your screen's and cursing me for saying that but I am afraid my fellow friends it's the truth. If you suffer from mega bad hay fever you'll get me.

For me, there is nothing better than lighting candles, that smell like Autumn/Christmas, with some fairy lights on, all snuggled in my room watching movies and relaxing. Nothing beats layering your clothes, wearing a bobble hat and going for long walks in the woods - smelling the Autumn air and watching the amber, crisp leaves fall from the trees in the sunlight.

Getting the image, come on you have to agree right?!

When it comes to fashion and what I wear, I never put too much thought into it. I tend to wear what I want and don't give a damn to what people think or whether it's too 'out there' for my small towns. I like it... I wear it, whether it's on trend or not. I don't follow fashions ever but what I do find a lot of the time - and not to blow my own trumpet, I find that I can be ahead of fashion and wear things just before they go on trend without even realising it.

For instance, the whole PVC look, I sported that a few years ago because it's 'my style' - I like to be a bit out there, push boundaries with my choice of clothing and mix it up. I started to wear my PVC trousers around a month or two back and then slowly but surely I started to hear that it is starting to be a hella trend this fall. I was already on trend before it was a trend. I love it when that happens.

90% of the time I will wear dark clothes, mainly black - to match my soul ;)

I just find monochrome items look so classy and strong. I have to be colour coordinated, I cannot stand when things don't match. I do love a bold print, a lot of rips, anything that is 'alternative' and lets be completely honest some may say fetish items. You know - the whole PVC thing. For me my clothes are a statement as is my hair and makeup. My image is an extension of my personality and creativity, to me is shows that I am a strong woman, independent, doesn't give a f**k about what people think or say, that I am an extrovert, I know myself and who I am, that I am bold, loud, quirky, one of a kind and hella creative. That's what I personally think, that's how it comes across, others may differ and be negative but their opinion doesn't matter.

Below you are going to see some recent pictures I have taken that depicts my current style - my main style, how I shake things up and make it my own and it may even inspire you guys who are reading.

If you are looking to change up your style or looking for inspiration to step out of your comfort zone then you have come to the right place. :)

Everything I am wearing if from the high street and currently in the shops. A piece of advice from me to you is that own what you are wearing, own your style, don't let ANYBODY tell you that you can't wear something because it doesn't fit societies ideologies. You like it, WEAR IT. Be brave and be bold.

Lets go...

PVC

I legit love a bit of PVC, for me it makes an outfit go from average to interesting and enigmatic. Trying to find a 'good' pair of PVC trousers/leggings can be hard to come by. I find that sometimes they can sit too low in the crotch area and doesn't move with your body contours. I recently invested in some more PVC trousers and on the off-chance found some perfect ones from H & M. I am in love with them. You can see them in the 3rd picture. If you are wanting to invest in this trend I do feel you get what you pay for a such. The ones from H & M are around £35. Team these with either an oversized tee and a leather jacket or with a chunky knitted jumper and you're sorted.

Patent platform boots - £34.99 H & M

Statement pieces

Okay, so if you don't think PVC is 'statement' enough, you cannot go wrong with a statement shirt, tee or jumper. The below is also from H & M and it's actually from the men's section. I ordered the same style in the jumper and t-shirt form. The tee was a bit too oversized for me and I found I loved the jumper more. It's this shiny, holographic material and I love things like this, that are different and that other people wouldn't generally wear. If you are anything like me and like to make a statement, this will be right up your street. This was around £29.99.

Lace Up

I am very 'alternative' in my style - I also like to be a rocker one day and then look like I am part of the ghetto the next, other times I just look homeless. Ha. I love lace up things and right now this has come back into fashion and I couldn't be happier. However you do need to be careful with lace up items as they aren't always very flattering. You don't want to look like a piece of pork with the string wrapped around you and if you have bigger thighs - like me, then you need to work out your placement if you're looking at purchasing lace up bottom half's. The lace up leggings are again from H & M - they are KILLING it at the moment. I was originally looking for jeans with a lace up front but I couldn't find any I liked - these were perfect. You can adjust the width of the lace up so I brought mine in, I didn't want too much flesh showing. I may also sew in some fabric behind the lace up as I feel it would look better. Either way this is another Autumn fashion staple right now.

Leggings - £20 (mine are in XS)
Geek glasses - £1 Primark
Jumper - £6.99 H & M
Knitted lace up jumper - £10 -£13 Primark

Thigh Highs & Sequins

I think for most Autumn/Winter fashion, over-the-knee and thigh high boots always make a come back. Generally, shoe wise for me I will wear either military boots or platforms. It's just how I roll. I love to team mainly leggings with thigh high boots as I feel it looks more classy but leather trousers also work. Recently I have been feeling sequin leggings with knitted jumpers and my new thigh highs and I think it looks so fashionable but is so effortless. I would stick to all black for this look or monochrome if you want to switch it up a bit.

Thigh highs - £44.99 New Look
Sequin Leggings - I got years ago.

Denim Jacket

It's at the stage weather wise that it's getting colder but it's too warm to wear a hefty coat so for me a denim jack is on point. You can literally throw it on over anything and it looks so freakin cool. I have sewn patches onto mine to make it 'unique' to me and I love it. There are a lot in the sale at the moment as it would mainly come under 'Summer fashion' but for me I like to break the boundaries.  Team the jacket with a beanie and platforms and you're good to go.

Jacket - £30 - £35 New Look
Patches - Various from H & M and Ebay
Platforms £25 Truffle

Extreme Ripped Jeans, Fishnets and Quote Tees

I have been DIY-ing my own clothes for a while now. I have always been a ripped jeans kinda gal, it's ma thaaaanng. I was quite late to the whole fishnet and ripped jeans 'trend' but I don't like to follow trends so I would rather wear it after everyone else has wore them to death. Again, it's an 'alternative' look but definitely one you wouldn't really want to wear through to winter. Too many holes going on and I get hella cold. I do my own jeans and design my own slogan/saying/quote tees (if anyone is interested in them I can create your own bespoke piece). I love being able to say what you want through your clothes. I would say these are more transitional pieces.

Underwear

Right now I am finding New Look's underwear right on point. They are killing it. It's like my personality in a bra. I recently found 2 bra's that I loved because they look super amazing. I think it's also important to look good under your clothes - underwear wise. The below are bang on trend and look awesome in my opinion. The 2nd bra is a major push-up and I love the caging detail. This I suppose does scream fetish slightly but who cares it's hot!!

Lace up bra - around £9.99 New Look

Rain Macs and Leather Jackets

Outerwear is obviously a must for this season as it's bound to rain at some point. When doesn't it. I do love the sound of the rain though, it really relaxes me, anybody else?

As you have guessed, throughout this post it is apparent I like bold pieces. The below rain mac is no exception. This copper effect mac is just a 'mind blown' piece. I love it A LOT. I think if you're going to get a mac, go get a statement one. It's dull enough when it is raining so why not shine through the grey with a bright piece. It is very out there but so am I. Ha.

Most people have a leather jacket as a 'staple'  piece these days but I like to shake it up with some sort of wording on it. Own it. I have another one from H & M which says 'The Darkness Inside' on the back and I love it.

Copper Mac - around £40 New Look

Leather Jacket - £70 Pull and Bear

Transitional Makeup

As you know, I am a makeup and photography fanatic, and the below look is me transitioning from Summer's brights going into the Autumn hues... Mixing in the bezza (berry - if you don't get my lingo) tones.

autumn, fashion, autumnfashion, pvc, vinyl, highshine, hm, newlook, primark, denimjacket, lfw, leatherjacket, laceup, pullandbear, platformboots, thigh high boots, makeup look, highstreet, on trend, ripped jeans, fishnets, slogan tees, quotes, quotetshirt, diy, morphe35b, beautybay

So there you have it, the lowdown on what I have been buying, wearing and lusting over this season. Anyone can wear any of these items, just be brave enough, believe in yourself and do it.

Unless you're my known stalker (see previous blog post) ... Then you can't because YOU CAN'T BE ME. :)

I hope you enjoyed this post and it has perhaps given you some inspiration for your own wardrobe or it's put you off for life. Ha, but hey this is me and I feel I have captured that.

The Autumn/Winter Candle Burner And Wax Melts You MUST HAVE In Your Home | Kringle Candle Company Are The Bomb!

homeware, candles, wax melts, home, christmas, autumn, kringle, kringle candle company, lifestyle, electric candle burner,

Evening my little ones.

I am sooooo sorry I have been MIA for a bit, I have been taking a little break from blogging and most of social media. I just needed some 'me' time and time away from the negativity that surrounds the social media circle.

I have made a lifestyle change and with that I have decided that I will be only posting once a week now instead of the usual twice. I just won't have enough time and I don't want to rush the posts and they end up being all sorts of shoddy. So, I have worked it out that I will be only posting on a Monday for a while until I sort my schedule out. I will be posting on a Monday at an earlier time than I have been posting and if I can fit in an additional post during the week I will aim for a Thursday.

I am keeping it real with you guys as I don't really want to drop it down but it's a realistic approach.

:)

I have done a couple of posts now on all things Autumn related and this post is no exception. I have noticed that you guys have responded highly to the Autumn themed posts and I have a mad feeling that you are going to LOVE this one just as much.

I am a massive fan of Autumn and Christmas (really?! Ha) and along with that I am a huge fan of Autumn and Christmas themed homeware. Again no surprise there. This time of year is full of everything cosy, warm and indulgent and that's what I love most.

My happy place is to be surrounded by the things I love. I love a good bubble bath, hot chocolate, book, cosy pj's, movies and CANDLES!!!

Candles just make an atmosphere don't they?! They are calming, thought provoking and smell freaking amazing.

For a few years now I have been in love with a candle company, I heard about them from another blogger and bought their candles and absolutely loved them. When I went to buy some more the website had closed down and I was gutted. I saved my last candle because I didn't want to burn my very last one.

Then.... They made a come back and I couldn't be any happier. The company I am talking about is Kringle Candle Company.

And they amazingly and kindly sent me the below to try out and review.

homeware, candles, wax melts, home, christmas, autumn, kringle, kringle candle company, lifestyle, electric candle burner,

I love Kringle Candle Company because their scents are true to their descriptive name. They are the most realistic I have ever smelt.

There's nothing worse than lighting a candle and the smell you thought was going to fill the room actually was the complete opposite to what is named and it smells like absolute crap. I love their candles SO much and I would even say beat all the candle companies out there that I have tried.

I have been in contact with a super lovely lady called Louise at the company and she offered to send me their 'Electric Melt Burner', 4 of their new 'Holiday' collection wax melts, two more of their older holiday melts and one of my favourites 'Hot Chocolate'. I was allowed to choose which burner I would like too and I couldn't be more grateful. I am a sucker for candles so I was super excited to receive the items.

Thank you so much Louise at Kringle Candle Company for being so generous.

Kringle Candle Company are online only and are the 'first and only authorised website totally dedicated to Kringle scented candles in the UK'. Their candles are all-white which means fellow bloggers you're in for a visionary treat as they 'emit the purest, brightest light possible' which makes it perfect for your backdrops.

Score!

homeware, candles, wax melts, home, christmas, autumn, kringle, kringle candle company, lifestyle, electric candle burner,

My room is white and rose gold/copper so obviously I went for the copperesque burner to match. It's so freaking cute, just look at it. The have LOADS to choose from too. This one is the 'Cello Electric Burner' and is new in, it has been developed in partnership with Woodwick.
If you don't know what an electric burner is - it's a burner that allows fragranced wax cubes or tarts to be used in the home without the need of tealights. That's right, that means no naked flame. The wax melt is placed on the clear dish, you plug the burner in and switch it on. The bulb in the centre of piece gently warms the wax until it melts like a normal candle. This means it's safe (to an extent) to use in the home where there are children and pets about.

Cool huh?! I think so!

This currently retails at £29.99

If you like this one, you can find it here

The wax melts they sent me below are super freaking awesome, they couldn't be more 'me'. I cannot wait to burn them all. They have SO many different scents on the website so there is definitely something for everyone. These are perfect Christmas presents!

NEW

This one is 100% my favourite, it actually smells like Christmas. Christmas tree's with a hint of a burning fire. Just think Christmas morning or Christmas Eve. It's a beautiful smell and I will be burning this in December fo'sure. This is Christmas in a candle and all the candles retail at £2.69 which I feel is a bargain considering these burn up to 20 hours and are actually quite large.

I am totally not the best at describing scents because... Well I am just not. Ha. But this one reminds me of Winter completely, imagine walking through the woods and you can smell Fir trees and the earth around you. It's so fresh and in their description there are notes of a moss smell, which is what I have been trying to pin point and now I know that was the smell.

Bar the 'Cosy Christmas' one this is a mega favourite, this just smells like a god damn hot chocolate. The after smell (once you have sniffed)resonates with you and leaves you feeling satisfied. It's really hard to describe without you smelling it for yourself but the primary scent is cocoa. I LOVE IT!

Writing about these products just makes me love them more because they truly are amazing. This one holds a scent of cinnamon - spices, the site describes 'scent of bread' and 'warm heath-side aromas'. This is totally true and is so warming, they all remind me of the good memories around this time of year and leaves you feeling strangely positive.

This one actually made me laugh because when I first took a sniff of it, it reminded me of a really nice smelling man. Ha. The company describes the scent as 'cheery', with a 'citrus berry essence amid fresh mahogany'. Now, excuse my ignorance but I am not too sure on what mahogany is meant to smell of. Wood? Either way this smells soooo good!! Definitely a masculine scent this one.

'Winter Wonderland' is not dissimilar in scent to to the 'Snow-Capped Fraser' melt. It is softer I would say but totally smells of pine and woodlands, this scent brings back a lot of memories when I used to go on autumn walks with my parents. It's so cute.

The last one in my collection is 'Leaves' and this was the one I was most excited to see. I have been searching high and low for a UK candle company to bring out an Autumn smelling candle. America have loads and I was like "YAS" when I got this.

It's really hard to get a scent that is exactly like leaves. When I first smelt this I could 100% smell the citrus and spice vibes and the after smell brings out the wood aroma. I can't wait to burn this one and see what it's like in a room.

The real test was to actually try the burner and candles out. I wanted to test the least Christmas scented one out because lets face it, it's October, so I went for my 'nice man' smelling one 'Frosted Mahogany'.

I plugged it in, placed the plate on top and then popped the melt in the centre ready to burn.

I would say it took around 5 minutes for the bulb to warm up the wax melt and when it did I was TOTALLY impressed, the smell was immense and filled the whole room with in minutes.

You are advised not to leave this burning for longer than 3 hours which is the norm for a heated product and not to obviously touch the plate whilst hot.

The light this burner gives off is truly magical, it just brings this season to life, it's warm, glistening and super cosy. True to the description of their products this gives off the most amazing lighting. I am so impressed it's unreal.

See below at the results.

I will only post about products that I truly believe in and love and I tell you now, if you love homeware, candles and this season you NEED this is your home.

Yes, I was sent this product but if you have followed my posts for a while you know if there is something I don't like I will state it. Being sent a product does not cloud my judgement as I have been sent things that I don't get on with and haven't featured.

This company is amazing, the products are awesome and their pricing is so competitive. This electric burner and melts would make a pretty special gift for someone. With Christmas coming up why not treat yourself or your loved ones because you will not be disappointed that's fo'sure!

My mum is in love and wants one for herself and my Nan. Ha. In fact she's trying to steal mine from me.

NO!

Lyric Pranking My Friends And Family | Was It A Fail Or Success?

lyric pranking, family, glamour magazine, autumn, hot chocolate, pyjamas, fun,

Oh hello there guys :)

I hope everyone is good?!

Long time no speak. Well actually it's been 1 week. Ha. I apologise for taking a week break from the blog. I haven't been well at all with a sickness bug that has been going round and also I have suffered really badly with anxiety. It was on an all time high. I had never been THAT bad before and I cannot say I enjoyed it much.

The struggle was real.

I may do a blog post on it soon actually because it's horrible feeling like you're on your own with something. I like keeping it real.

All that being said, I am on the mend now annnnnnnd I AM BACCCKKKK BITCHES!!! :)

I am sooooo totally happy that it's this time of the year, like I feel this is when I am at my most happiest. My hayfever buggers off for a bit, it's all so cosy and you can over indulge in the nice things. Speaking of nice things, I am doing a couple of collabs with some awesome brands soon. One of which I have loved for a while now and it involves something for your home. That is all I am saying.

In the words of PLL (Pretty Little Liars, if you did not know)

"Got a secret, can you keep it, swear this one you'll save, gotta lock it in your pocket, taking this one to the grave."

Today's post I have mixed it aaappp a little bit, Calvin Harris has nothing on this mash up. :D

I thought I would take it upon myself to do a fun post that has actually been circulating on YouTube, so I thought why not bring it to my blog.

You obviously have guessed from the title what it is and that is right, I have been lyric pranking my friends and family.

"Mwahahahaaha."

selfie, freckles, faux freckles, makeup artist, beauty blogger, pout, natural, no makeup, soap and glory, drugstore,

If you're not familiar with the concept I will briefly explain it to you now. This is something that you take away and do yourself and man didn't I cry laugh throughout this process. It was hilarious!

So, lyric pranking is as it suggests. You find someone either a family member or friend (I would not suggest your boss, ha) and start a conversation off with them (even better if they message you first) using lyrics from a song. The aim is to see if you can keep the lyrics flowing as a conversation before they figure out what you're doing.

It will make more sense when you see the screen shots in a minute!

Now was it a success or fail?

It was a half and half mix I'd say. One person I pranked really fell for it and I just could not stop laughing at his response, a couple of people were a little worried about me, "hahahaha" and a couple got it straight away and I was quite impressed be it a little disappointed.

Anyway. Enjoy the following and if you're like me and love to have a laugh this will be so much fun for you. Just pick your recipients carefully.

Lets GOOOOOO!!!!

Ha, so the below is the most hilarious. My friend Scott who I used to work with years ago got back in touch recently and I got him good and proper. I thought he would be a prime candidate for this prank as he is a little gullible. Ha, sorry not sorry Scott!! :)

I decided to start the conversation off with Justin Bieber's 'Sorry' lyrics and this boy was hooked! :D

This is how it went down...

lyric pranking, youtube, trend, beauty blogger, family, fun, autumn, pranks,

lyric pranking, youtube, trend, beauty blogger, family, fun, autumn, pranks,

I got pretty far with the lyrics and it finally clicked when I got to the iconic part of the song! I was literally wondering how long I could go on for before I put the poor sod out of his misery. Scott, you're a babe!! And I really am 'Sorry'.

Next, I decided to quote Awolnation's song 'Run' to one of my ladies Jess. This made me laugh as it could of gone two ways. She would of got it or she would just ignore me when I started to seem really weird. More so than usual.

She didn't write back after my last message. So I waited a while and then gave up the ghost. She was worried. Ha ha.

This is how it went...

Next, my friend Gathan got it straight away!! I thought I best quote a song that would be familiar to him but not familiar enough that he would get it. He got it and I was so peeved. Ha. He could of just played along.

Kudos to him though! I quoted an MJ song and boom here were the replies!

My friend Jack was up next and I think we met on Tinder yeeeeaars ago. I haven't spoken to him for a while so I thought why not!

I started sprouting Plan B's 'Recluse' to him and he practically got it straight away. I mean COME ON... HOW RUDE!!! Ha.

This next one cracked me up the most, it was the response on who this person thought I was meant to be sending the message to. This screen shot is from my good friend Arthur. We have been friends for yeeeeearrrs. He read my first message which was quoted from Gnash's song 'I Hate You I Love You' and ignored it. I thought 'oh gosh, he is totally going to think I am a weirdo' so I wrote the next line of the song hoping he would snap the bait. He did and his response was priceless to me.

Literally insert crying, laughing face right here. He thought I was meant to be sending that message to my lad mate Jez who has totally ghosted me for almost a year. To be honest. I was really tempted to message him in these series of pranks but he already thinks I am in love with him and want to marry him and have his babies. TOTALLY NOT TRUE IF YOU'RE READING THIS!You're NOT all that :P But yeah, him thinking that as his first response made me LOL.

Next up was my Auntie and she is an MJ fan just like me, so I started the convo off with 'Who Is It' lyrics. She got it pretty quickly too. WHAT IS WRONG WITH THESE PEOPLE?! I would of totally been fooled. Clever little eggs! Ha.

Finally, was Hat!! I really confused the poor girl! I was quoting The Mirror Trap's song 'Pigeon Chest' to her and she was just baffled and then ignored me. RUDE! :D

And that was the end of my pranking session. Out of all of them I think Scott wins for the most dramatised responses and then Arthur's just full on creased me.

Please, if you and your friends/family have a sense of humour, give it a go. It kept me entertained for hours and makes for amusing memories.

I hope you enjoyed this post today and I have lots of gorgeous posts coming up soon for y'all.
