Nanshy Professional Makeup Brushes | Review & Why You Should Invest.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Holllllaaaa :)

What a gloomy Monday it is!!

Talk about April showers living up to its name today, I kind of like these types of days though, it has a cosy vibe to it. And lets face it whilst job searching those 'cosy' days are becoming more apparent. Ha.

Oh FYI - the image above I did that myself free hand with makeup. A lot of people thought it was either a snapchat filter or done on a computer. Nope, that was my first attempt on my own. It needs perfecting though. :)

Okay, so whilst makeup is obviously very important to a look that you're creating, so are the tools that you use. Now, I am not going to lie I basically used to use my hands to put my foundation on and to apply my eyeshadow. *Cringes*

Come on, we have all done that right?!

Over the last few years, I have really become passionate about makeup. I mean I have always been an avid fan of the coloured stuff but more so now and I could never get bored of it. Personally I don't think a girl could ever have enough or 'too much' makeup. I get so excited when I get new makeup and makeup brushes are no exception.

I have always wanted the Zoeva Rose Gold (that figures) collection, both face and eyes but as of yet I haven't got them.

Another brand that I REALLY wanted was Nanshy. Now the first time I heard about them was when I was watching Emily Canham's video's ages ago and I fell in love. She really raved about them and I was sold completely.

Nanshy pride themselves on producing extraordinary tools that are animal cruelty free and vegan friendly. Ace right?! Not only that their products are super well made and such good quality especially for the price which is really competitive. They are amazing for beginners as they are super versatile and they are championed by top bloggers/YouTubers and MUA's alike.

I got my 'Masterful' set at Christmas just gone!!! Yes, I waited a long time. My parent's obviously read my wishlist and ordered those bad boys. And they are so beautiful.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I went for the white handles to match my room. Ha. Everything has to coordinate.

I am currently affiliated with Nanshy and after reading this post, if you fancy getting these for yourselves you can use my exclusive code LELUROXX10 for 10% off your order. It's also free delivery on orders of £20+ and you can choose a free gift on orders of £30+.

You can order here.

You can buy sets or you can order the brushes singularly in either black or white handles which is awesome!

The brushes I will be showing are the singular brushes just so you get the gist.

N/B - I was sent the single brushes the other day as I am working with them (affiliated) but this post is not sponsored I am doing it because I love the brand a lot, the set I am featuring was bought and I just wanted to share my love for these brushes and maybe you might fall in love with them as much as I did.

This is the Buffed Base RO1 face makeup brush. This has been on my 'NEED' list for months. I was so excited when I received this!! This can be used multiple ways, for instance you can use it to apply highlighter or you can use it to apply your foundation. If stippled it gives your base a flawless, streak free and full coverage look.

I have to say as well, all these brushes are super soft which can be difficult to find when using synthetic brushes. Well played Nanshy (as she rubs all the brushes over her face).

Here we have the 'Precise Bent Eyeliner' EB01 eye makeup brush.

This is amazing for people who struggle applying liquid or gel eyeliner onto their lid. The bend in the brush enables you to work the liner how you want it which in turn leaves you with an effortless winged look. Thumbs up.

These are the Blending Eyeshadow EB04 and Eye Crease EB05. As you are all aware I LOVE working on my eyes, I have currently been doing all my eye looks with 1 Barry M brush, so I have done pretty well! Now I have lots of eye brushes so hopefully my looks will appear more flawless.

These are the 'Flawless Foundation FO1' and the Conceal Perfector PO1'. The foundation brush is perfect for liquid foundation, sheer powders and blushers. These brushes are dense but are soft and have a lot of movement which is perfect when trying to use them for different applications. The conceal brush has a tapered tip to get into those hard to reach places to blend foundation, concealer and even tinted moisturise.

Win win all round. They are freaking amazing!!

The 'Masterful' set is what I really wanted at Christmas as it had an awesome blend of face, eye and lip brushes so you had the best of everything.

The single brushes that were sent to me really make this collection for me. I don't think I will stop until I have every single brush. They are amazing!!

I have only tried a couple of the brushes but I LOVE them so I know the one's I have been sent are going to be amazing too.

Eeekkkk I cannot wait to get all that fluffiness on my face!!!

I hope this has helped you if you are looking into getting some brushes whether you're a beginner or a professional.

I will only ever give my 100% honest opinion. :)

Until Thursday...

Liebster Awards | Blogger Nomination | Q & A

Picture: http://emilyrosevass.com/

Oh hi :)

I hope y'all are well and enjoying all of your Easter eggs? (If you celebrate Easter that is)

I had a small Rolo one off my rents ha ha but also £10 which was nice of them, so I went ahead and bought two sterling silver rings from ShopDixi (who do the most amazing jewellery ever). The rings were £25 each and I got them for £9.95 inc P and P.

Freaking score.

Ooohh, I am currently working with Shopdixi so if you fancy 10% off your order quote LELUXDIXI at the till. You're welcome.

Okay, so onto the post, I have been nominated by the lovely and beautiful Beth Chudley for the Liebster Blogger Awards. She is such an amazing person and has an awesome blog over @ Littlecapsulewardrobe . I have also been nominated by Robyn Samantha  today but I had already written this post, so thank you for nominating me also. You beautiful people. :)

This is an award I have never heard of until I was nominated by Beth and it is such a good way to know the blogger you're investing your time in.
It's an online award given to bloggers by bloggers which is super cool because it helps build relationships and invite others to check out what you're up to.

We all love a bit of recognition, right?

Of course.

The main question is, how does this whole thing work?

Once you have been nominated by myself or anyone else you need to do the following:

. Thank the blogger who nominated you (politeness goes a long way).

. Answer the 11 questions that are set to you by the person who nominated you (provided at the end of the post).

.Share 11 random facts about yourself (that won't be hard for me. Ha.)

. And finally, nominate up to 11 other bloggers who you think 100% deserves the award and ask them 11 new questions of your own.

It's time to get creative.

Beth asked me the following questions...

1. What made you want to start to blog?

For me, I started it years ago when I watched that programme with Billie Piper in it, Belle De Jour? The working girl who started an anonymous blog. I found it interesting but it fizzled out. I then picked it up again at uni whilst doing my journalism course and carried it on fully when I was made redundant from my job. It's remained in my life and I love what I am doing.

2. If you could have one superpower what would it be and why?

This is a hard one to answer because there is a lot I would like. I used to say I would love to read minds, but I think that would get confusing as hell with all those little voices in your head. So for me I think it would to control time, like Bernard's Watch - does anyone remember that programme? I could stop it, forward it, rewind time to avoid mistakes, look into the future. It would be amazing.

3. What type of blog posts are your favourite to photograph?

Ooohhh another hard question as I love taking pictures full stop. I think for me currently my favourite to photograph has got to be my makeup looks. I love to experiment and beauty is no exception. I love doing close ups and catching the 'mood' in a picture. Yeah, it's got to be that.

4. Summer or Winter?

I always used to say Summer is my favourite time of year as it's my birthday season and the sun makes everyone happy. This has changed slightly because I have now occurred hay fever over the last few years and it ruins my Spring/Summer. I have it from around March time up until Oct and I get it bad. I mean no one has got time for me snotting everywhere. Ha. So in the summer I have to stay indoors a lot. :( So for me I totally love winter for the simple fact my hay fever goes away and it's freaking CHRISTMAS TIME. :D

5. What would your dream career be?

Beth, these questions are hard. Ha.

I am a performer deep down so I would like to say my dream career would to be a singer with a huge fan base and sold out concerts. That aside I would love to be a major blogger or working with animals. I have a lot of interests so I couldn't just pick one career as my 100% dream, if I had to pick one that slightly outweighed, it would be a performer.

6. What TV shows are you bingeing on at the moment/recently?

PLL (Pretty Little Liars) is a show I am addicted to although I no longer have Netflix as I am in between jobs at the moment, so I haven't caught the latest series. I am dying to though. I am also loving, F.R.I.E.N.D.S (which is a given for me, I know it all word for word), Gavin and Stacey (James Corden is da bomb), Eastenders, Hollyoaks, Supervet, Gogglebox and The Voice UK.

7. If you had to give up crisps or chocolate which one would you choose?

Ahhh mayyynnnnn, you cannot possibly ask me that!!! Ha.

If I have something sweet like chocolate, I then have to have something savoury like crisps. Okay, I will have to say I would give up crisps because I could get savoury elsewhere to curb my cravings. Chocolate, not so much. You cannot take chocolate away from a hormonal woman, are you kidding me. There would be chaos.

8. How do you find managing blogging and your everyday life?

Right now, I am job searching (which I am fed up of) so I am managing just fine because I have the time I need to really put all the work/effort into it. When I do eventually get a job my blogging pattern will have to change. For example I will have to write posts over the weekend way in advance so I have the content ready to go for my post days of Monday and Thursday. It will all be about planning. I have done it before and I will do it again.

9. What scares you the most about blogging?

For me it would be failure. I am a perfectionist and I work hard at everything I do. The amount of effort I put into each post I do is unreal. It's not half hearted, if I do something I do it properly. It's hard to get the subscribers/followers now because blogging is so saturated, it's not a case of a small bunch of people anymore... We are talking millions. It's hard to get noticed as we are all doing the same thing.

10. What is your favourite way to relax at the weekend?

I love to take pictures, experiment with my hair and makeup and again take pictures and edit those. I also love to take a bath, wash my hair, go in hard with my skin routine and chill in my room watching movies and eating junk. Ha.

If I had a job I think my weekends would change slightly, in the day I would most probably go shopping and then maybe hit the town at night for a cheeky catch up with friends.

Right now I am happy doing my thaaannng.

11. What brands would you like to work with if you had the chance?

Oh my goodness, there are so many. You ready?

ShopDixi, Cult Beauty, MUDA Beuty, Makeup Revolution, Feel Unique, Barry M, Urban Decay, Zoeva, Nanchy, Real Techniques, Sigma, Soap & Glory, MAC, Body Shop, Lush, Rimmel, Loreal, Smashbox, YSL, New Look, H & M, Eylure, Elegant Touch, Moroccan Oil, Primark, Garnier, Foxy Locks Extensions, Melt Cosmetics, Rodial Skincare, Kiko Cosmetics, Superdrug/Boots, Topshop, Boohoo, Da Silva London. There are far too many to list. Ha.

11 Random Facts About MEEEEEEE.

1. I leave two bits of chicken in my curry and leave the rest. Just don't ask. Ha.

2. I am a singer and I have been on the X Factor and a horrendous dating show.

3. When I sit down I curl my toes under my foot - it's something I have always done. (That picture actually looks freaking weird).

4. I suck my thumb, hence why I need Invisalign. *Covers eyes*.

5. I have met Adam Lambert, Tom Odell and Brian Molko.

6. I didn't sleep with anyone until I was 18 and that was with my boyfriend at the time.

7. I cannot sleep in the dark, I have to have a dim light on otherwise I freak out something is going to get me. Ha.

8. I love anything rose gold/copper and have re-designed my room to fit that in.

9. I have 5 tattoo's and used to have my belly and tragus pierced.

10. I have a serious crush on Harry Styles.

11. I have three moles equally aligned in the form of Orions Belt on the right side of my forehead, left side of my forearm and on my left leg. I like to think I was born a star. Phaha.

What I Got For Christmas 2015

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Nooooooooo Christmas is over for another year!!!

I cannot believe how quickly last year has gone. There have been many ups and downs and this year I am making big decisions with my life and hopefully I will be moving to London. That's another story in itself.

Now, I love reading and watching YouTube video's on what people received for Christmas so I am putting one up myself just in case any one is interested and is as nosey as me!

:)

*Disclaimer* - This isn't a bragging post by no means whatsoever just a collective of gifts that I received on Christmas day that I would like to share with you guys.

If you don't like this type of post I would stop reading now.

Now for the fun stuff...

I was up until around 3 am on Christmas Day wrapping presents. I always do it all on Christmas Eve because it's more fun that way. I had a Christmas film on and it was just nice, you know?!

Christmas morning I had to clean Cody out and feed him before I did anything else and then we opened his presents. Ha.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I have a stocking every year! I love a good old stocking me. Traditional lass I am!! I got my mum and dad one this year so we all had one so that was fun to do together. I got some little bits and bobs, like makeup bits, chocolate and some books.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Now the fun part, I love the heading down stairs part because everyone is so excited. We didn't get around to opening presents until around 10.30 am as the family started to call.

I opened Bear's presents with her first and she got that excited I think some of her tooth snapped off :( I was like "oh, that can't be good" she is quite old and her breath smells like the bog of eternal stench at the moment.

So ladies and gents' this is what I received off my family.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Yay!! I have wanted these brushes in like forever after I saw Emily Canham use them. They are animal cruelty free which is frickin AMAZING and they are meant to be really good brushes!! I am afraid to use them as they look soooo pretty.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

My brother got me this. I ran out a while back and since that day my hair wasn't the same. It felt horrid and the Argon Oil that I was using was absolute crap. If I were to ever recommend a hair care product it would 100% be this. It's amazing and I find my hair grows a lot better with this.
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Whooo hoooo, I finally own a Naked Pallet. Mum and dad did good!! Again, I am so afraid to use it as it's perfect and who wants to ruin perfection. I fell in love with the packaging.

Well played Urban Decay ;)

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Your Christmas list wouldn't be the same without some sort of Mac product on there. My favourite shade ever is 'Honeylove' and I only wear matte shades. Mum and dad got me 'Kinda Sexy' and the 'Whirl' lip liner. Score.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Accessorize is another one of my favourite places and mum and dad got me this lovely taupe 'Cassidy' satchel and rose gold purse!! Rose gold is always a winner.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

My brother got me this also. Frosted Cranberry. Body shop is always a good choice.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Faux leather trousers. New Look bottoms always fit me perfectly and these weren't an exception. Fitted me like a glove.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

This is one of the coolest presents off my mum and dad. Guinea pig central.

This is by far THE BEST present!! Little things ey, Cody on a frickin cushion. He is so pretty!!! Such a thoughtful gift too.

Kiko make up!! A few copper bits in there!! <3

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

This had to be pre-ordered. Brian is GOD!!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

It had to be done!!!

I had money from my brother, my nan, aunties and uncles (including vouchers)

I also got some lush bath oils too but they were too messy to photograph.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Everything that I received I loved. I was very spoilt and was given some lovely things! I appreciate everything that I get in general as I am not a materialistic person.

I usually by myself everything so Christmas is a brilliant time to appreciate other people's thoughtful gifts. The best part for me though is giving my gifts to my family.

It's the best time of year.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

That has got to be the most pathetic Christmas dinner ever in the history of dinners!! Ha. I don't like roast dinners but I like to take part as it's Christmas. This picture was missing the bread sauce though. I really dislike potatoes but these were pretty nice. But yeah, this picture makes me laugh... A lot.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Yep. I had to have a glas o'wine. I had a real crap time before Christmas so this was highly needed.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Harry Styles is my new found obsession. He is lovely.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Boxing day sales! I caved and bought the Naked 2 pallet. Whoops. I want the Naked 1 now.  I bought a couple things that I needed to re-purchase and some things that I didn't get at Christmas so I got some more rose gold stuff, rings from Accessorize, Top Shop goodies a massive Yankee Candle and some other bits and bobs.

You can see for yourself.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Yep, you guessed it I also bought a One Direction poster *covers eyes and laughs*

I really like their new album, my dad bought it my mum for Christmas and since then I have stolen it!!

What I would like to know though is why Hazza hasn't asked me to marry him yet. ;)

*Dreaming*

There you have it. What I got for Christmas.

I hope you enjoyed reading this post as much as I loved writing it.

Love
