Morphe 350M Palette | An Affordable And Simple Autumnal Makeup Look To Suit Everyone.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore,

Evening/Morning ladies and gents.

I hope everyone is fine and dandy?!

Nothing majorly exciting has happened this week to fill you in about, it's literally the same old shit, different day kinda thang!

I am however hoping to go to the Safari Park on Sunday because they are running a competition for 'Wildlife Photographer Of The Year' and although I got some decent shots when I went on my birthday I want to get some better ones to enter. The prizes are pretty cool too. :)

I am still loving Autumn but what I am not loving is the amount of spiders that are venturing into my house. I haven't slept for two nights now in fear that one of those beasts will enter my room. They aren't small either, they are freaking huge.

So, as I am loving Autumn so much, what better than to share with you my Autumnal makeup look that will suit everyone.

It's a lovely, warm look with the main focus on the eyes. It's perfect for day and night - especially if you are a little bit of an extrovert, who loves to experiment and likes to get creative with their makeup looks.

Today I will be showing you everything I used on my eyes and face and the final look that I created with these products. All products are affordable and easy to use and mainly from the drugstore.

The main product I am featuring for this look is the Morphe 350M palette from Beauty Bay. It's a really sort after palette and I like working with matte products so I decided to get this as I couldn't get hold of the original 350. I love this a lot. The colours are super pigmented so you don't need to use a lot to get a great colour pay off.

Let me know what you think and please share if you re-create this look yourself.

This swatch is just after a light swipe. You don't need a lot on your brush at all.

What I used where on my eyes.

1: All over my eye to dry the base primer out.
2: Transition shade across the crease, up to the brow.
3: Used in the depth of crease.
4: Outer eye, blended into the crease.
5: On the upper inner corner.
6: To darken the crease and the outer eye.
7: Darken around the liner.
8: Bottom lash line.
9: To smoke out under waterline.

* I did use the black out of the 35B palette to darken the final look*

I found these little beauties in Primark, they were £2.50 for the pack of three and the adhesive. Which I thought was pretty good. I used the copper coloured ones to add some sparkle on my inner lid and on the lower lash line. Taking them off though was a pain in the arse as it all ends up over you face.

These LA Girl Pro.Conceal concealer/corrector's are pretty cool. I love the orange one for under the eyes as I have some pretty decent dark circles. This covers them super well so I use this before I apply my foundation around that area. These are also from Beauty Bay for £5 each. Score.

I LOVE these lashes by Vagas Nay. They create such a dramatic look and really finish the eyes off. They do have a thick band so are best used with eyeliner on your upper lid but other than that they are great.

They are around £5 in Savers (UK)

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore, mac, soft ochre,

I use Mac's Paint Pot in 'Soft Ochre' as my eye base and then I will use a nude shadow shade to set this in place so it's a lot easier to blend the shadows out.

This is the mascara I currently use, I do like this one but with all mascara's they do NOTHING to my lashes. They are poker straight and aren't changing any time soon.

My all time favourite eyeliner baby. This Soap and Glory eyeliner pen is the bomb. I love it soooo much, it's so easy to use and I would say great for beginners trying to master the flick. I have just bought another one of these in fear I run out. Ha.

These are the products that I used on my face for this look. Starting from the top left.

1. Sleek contour kit in 'medium'.

2. L'Oreal Infallible foundation in 'vanilla' (my current foundation favourite).

3. Rimmel Stay Matte finishing powder in 'Sandstorm'.

4. LA Girl Pro.Powder HD setting powder - I use this under my eyes.

5. Sleek 'Solstice' highlighters.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore, nyx,

These are the products that I have been reaching for to sort out my brows. Baring in mind my brows on quite light and sparse I cannot get a really nice 'natural' brow look but I use the L'Oreal Brow Artist kit first and define and darken the 'tail' with the NYX Tame and Frame pomade.

Finally to complete this look I will reach for my trusty nude lips. These are the three products I use without fail, almost every day.

I will line my lips with the Primark liner, then dab on the Primark matte chunky lipstick pencil and to finish off I will use Mac's 'Honeylove' - my ultimate favourite lipstick EVER,  in the centre of the lips.

And here is the finished look for y'all.

I hope you like it.

Top Drugstore Products To Create A Flawless Base That Is Instagram Worthy | Slay That Makeup Look.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection

Evening guys and gals around the world.

You well?

I am totally full of hayfever right now, it's not even funny. It is actually causing me pain!

I stupidly went on a cleaning spree today which in turn made dust fly everywhere and I haven't stopped sneezing.

For a while now, I have had A LOT of people compliment me on my makeup looks, every day makeup and how flawless the overall finish is.

With those compliments (which I am so freaking grateful for as it makes the effort I put in worthwhile) I will get asked "what do you use on your eyes- how do you get it so blended?" and "your base looks flawless, what do you use?"

So I thought I would address the whole flawless base thing for y'all today.

I have brought together a bunch of my most used/reached for affordable drugstore products that I use to create my base whenever you see me with makeup on.

I was going to add brushes into this but I might leave that for a separate post. I will however show you the brush that I currently reach for to apply my foundation and I feel that brush makes a massive difference.

So, read on and I will tell you step by step what I use and it really does work.

Lets GO!!

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, simple skincare, skincare, moisturiser,

First off I will apply my daily moisturiser, you can use any that works for you but for me this is a major favourite. Sensitive skin users this would be GREAT for you. I apply this to ensure my skin is nice and supple before applying the primer.

I will apply all over the face and neck and allow to dry for a couple of minutes.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, nivea post shave balm, primer

After the face cream has dried I will then go in with a primer. Right now I am loving the Nivea Men Post Shave Balm, it really sticks to the skin without feeling heavy and this primes the skin perfectly for your base to stick onto to.

I have found my makeup has stayed in place A LOT longer with this underneath.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, illuminator, highlighter

Like every other girl out there right now, I am loving that glow though. Ha. I am also loving Sleek Cosmetics products too and I am slowly getting through their collection.

This little beauty is their 'Barekissed Illuminator' in 'Monaco' and it's a lovely lavender/silver toned liquid highlight that is super pigmented to give your skin that dewy glow that is just addictive. This sits nicely on top of the primer ready for your foundation, where it shines through from underneath.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, maybelline 24 hour,

The next step after the good old liquid glow, is to cover my dark circles and spots with my trusty Collection concealer. The main step now is my foundation.

Currently I will go between my favourite Maybelline 'Super Stay 24hr' foundation and the new L'Oreal 'Infallible 24hr' both are matte and high coverage. I use shade 'Ivory' as this is more matched to my skin tone, plus it allows me to build up more of a natural bronze and contour.

These products are pinnacle to my flawless coverage and overall appearance. If I am doing a dramatic eye look I will usually apply the eye makeup first to avoid fallout. The amount of times I have done it the other way round and the fallout has created weird grey patches on my cheeks due to it sinking into my base. Annoying much.

I will buff the foundation in with my Nanshy 'Buffed Base' brush which is totally amazing guys. Seriously, it's dense which blends the foundation and not move it about. This gives me my airbrushed finish.

You're welcome. :)

Skincare is another must to achieving a perfect base you can find my tips and the products I swear by here to get rid of spots and blemishes.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, rimmel, matte powder, setting powder,

To set my foundation I always use the Rimmel matte powder in 'Sandstorm' to make my finish extra matte and polished. It really sets the base in place but doesn't make it look cakey and it is really lightweight so it makes your foundation that way too.

It takes away any shine and again maintains the airbrushed look.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, concealer, high coverage

Under my eyes and around the top of my cheekbones (on top of the foundation) I will apply my Collection 'Lasting Perfection' concealer in 'fair'.

This is the best concealer ever... It's got major coverage and I use this on top of my foundation as a highlight - to lighten the eye and cheek area. To blend this out to make it seamless I will use my Lab beauty blender and my Real Techniques beauty blender and dab it around those areas.

This is my favourite step and it really finishes the base off perfectly. It adds light to the areas that are covered with shade if you get me. For me this is a must have step!

I will also do the same step on my chin, bridge of my nose and forehead. Hitting those places the light will naturally hit.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, la girl, high definition powder,

Okay so this isn't technically 'drugstore' but it's £4.99 and as an alternative I do use baby powder as it does the same thing. This packaging was nicer to photo. Ha. I use the setting powder (translucent) to set the concealer and stop it from creasing.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, primer, eyeshadow, mac cosmetics, pro longwear, soft ochre,

As a base for my eyeshadow I will apply Mac's Pro Longwear paint pot in 'Soft Ochre'. This is yellow toned and super perfect for cancelling out dark tones and veins in the  eye area. I will then swirl onto it a skin toned shadow to set the base. This will make it a lot easier to blend your shadow out.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, contour, cream contour,

Contour is a must when sculpting your face and perfecting your final look. I will use a powdered bronzer product first in the hollows of my cheeks, up to my temple and blend it out. I will then use a cream contour to define and conquer. Ha.

drugstore, budget, drugstore brands, makeup look, flawless base, foundation, perfect makeup, sleek makeup, loreal infalliable, collection, precious metals, solstice, highligter, highlight palette,

I promise this isn't sponsored by Sleek, ha. I just love their products and the brand.

As my final step and the finishing touch to my flawless base is to add highlighter. I do use The Balm usually but since buying these beautiful bad boys I have fallen in love and want to smother my face in it.

I will highlight above my cheek contour and slightly under the eye to brighten it more. I will also add the glow to the nose, chin and forehead. Sometimes I also add it to my collar bone as mine are quite prominent to add extra depth.

:)

If anyone would like a YouTube tutorial on this or anything else let me know in the comments because I am still trying to build my confidence. Ha. That way I will know what you want to see.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible #SculptYourWay Competition | I Won

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Yo yo yo!!!

Happy Monday... Said no one ever!!

It's Monday funday again and I am still in my room bloody job searching my life away whist watching Gavin and Stacey on repeat.

I now know all of the words.

What is life?

So last time I spoke I was informing y'all that my hay fever was really bad and my eyes were burning balls of fire.

I couldn't take it no more as I felt that there was something more to it than it just being 'hayfever'.

I made my way to the doctors, no makeup on (I looked like the walking dead) and my fake glasses on to try and disguise my kebab eyes.

They were SO bad.

The doctor took one look at them and was like "woah, they are dramatic". They were THAT swollen they were almost shut and I had to drive there too. I turns out I had an eye infection in both eyes on top of my hayfever. This infection was caused by some eyelash glue I had used. :(

I full on had pink eye, I was a walking boiled egg with pink kebab eyes. So freaking attractive.

*Insert disgusting photo of me*

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
This was the first day and it got a lot
worse!!

On top of that, my car decided to break on me because the coil pack had gone and it had rusted my spark plugs so that cost me a fortune to fix. And with no job, Friday gone was a bad day.

I am now on antibiotic drops, that I may add literally make its way to the back of my throat and it tastes like the gates of hell. RANK does not even describe it. They are meant to stay in my eye not go down my throat so I drink the vile stuff.

The reason I am talking about my eyes is twofold as it brings me onto the actual point of this post. Y'all know I love to fill you in on my life. Or lack of it. Ha.

So, I can't wear any of my prize and upload any looks just yet, all because I have this damned eye infection. Once that has cleared I am good to gooooo.

Right, onto the fun stuff and what you have come here to read.

A few weeks ago I entered a L'Oreal competition that was called #sculptyourway. It was in conjunction with Superdrug and was part of their new 'Infallible' range.

I was watching a YouTuber's video on the range (Itssssabrina) and at the end there was a competition. I was EXTREMELY lucky to catch the video when I did because the competition ended the next day and it was 10.30 pm the previous night.

The competition involved using their Infallible Sculpting kit to put on your contour and highlight and take a picture of your 'tribal stripes' before blending. Luckily for me I had this kit as it caught my eye in Superdrug. How freaking perfect and meant to be.

I did it as to how I do my contour and highlight and entered onto Instrgram tagging Superdrug & L'Oreal into it.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I really wanted to win the competition but thought there was no way in hell that I would ever win, I never win anything big.

The competition prize was HUGE. You could win L'Oreal's whole makeup portfolio (worth £2,500) and £2000 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.

The competition ended and I heard nothing. I was gutted but really interested to find out who had won the prize.

It turned out it was fricking ME!!! YES ME!!! I had forgotten about the comp and carried on with job finding. I found out a week after the comp had ended. I was minding my own business watching a horror film and right at a jumpy part of the film my phone buzzed and I literally crapped myself (well not literally, ha). I looked at my phone and saw that L'Oreal had commented on my Instagram picture saying I had won.

I literally said out loud " No, this is obviously a spam account winding me up".

It freaking wasn't, I had won. I was shocked, I was shaking, I just couldn't believe that they had picked me out of all of the entries. I was the only winner too, I felt so grateful and privileged.

I kept it quiet until they told me I could announce it. 99.9% of people who commented were happy for me, but you will always get that one bitch that will leave a sarcastic and offish comment instead of being happy for you.

Always happens. It's cool.

A couple of weeks later my prize arrived and I was SO excited.

Only 2 items were broken, due to transit but I am in love with it all. Obviously I cannot use some it it due to skin tone differences but I was so overwhelmed. Since getting it I have given some things to my mum. :)

So here it is ladies and gents if you're interested to see!

It came with a lovely little handwritten "congratulations" note and in these amazing vanity cases. I didn't expect that at all, I thought it would all just be in the box.
