Fake Bake Face And Body Contouring 3D Kit | A Fake Tan Glow To Transition From Summer To Autumn | First Impressions

fake tan, self tanner, fake bake, fake bake united, beauty blogger, contouring, body contour, face and body tan, drugstore, first impressions, makeup artist, autumn, fake bake 3d kit,

Evening pups!!

It's practically the end of August now and I for one am very glad about it. I cannot freaking wait for Autumn, being able to snuggle up in the warm with a hot chocolate and movies.

Autumn for me is the most beautiful time of year, I love the smells, the colours and all things associated with Halloween, Bonfire night and Christmas. It literally cannot come soon enough.

Just because it's transitioning into Autumn doesn't mean that you cannot keep your natural or be it, fake golden glow throughout the chillier months. Obviously across the globe it's not slipping into Autumn everywhere, I am talking about the UK here but that doesn't mean this doesn't apply to you.

Last week, I was kindly sent over from Fake Bake their 3D face and body tanning kit as part of their #SaveYourSelfie campaign. I have also written a 'confidence' story to be featured on their site, which I am waiting for it to go live.

Thanks Fake Bake!!

I have never tried their products before but have always been interested in the brand as they present their products beautifully.

Now, as everyone knows I am a pale face, a vampire if you must but I am no stranger to fake tan in the slightest. I have tried and tested a few brands and products, some of which I would never re-purchase again.

I do have quite dry skin in general, I do moisturise a lot but even so my skin remains in that problem area. This is what puts me off fake tanning because my tan NEVER ends up even, just patchy.

Annoying much.

I just end up scrubbing the tan away and regain my sun deprived skin.

I will be honest with you I didn't have a lot of hope for this product working on me and not because it's the products fault, it's the fact my idiotic skin just says "NO".

I love the presentation of this kit, I really warm to the fact that it's white and gold. It's aesthetically pleasing and gives the kit a luxurious feel to it.

This kit retails at £49.95 and contains the following;

. Flawless Coconut Tanning Serum (148ml)
. Airbrush Self-Tan (207ml)
. Pro Blend Dab Hand Applicator
. Step-by-step guide
. Gloves

The shade I was sent was 'medium' which is perfect for me as I can find the 'light' versions never tan me enough. If I am tanning I want to see a result.

Basically this kit allows you to tan your skin all over with the serum provides and then using the 'airbrush' spray you can contour your legs, body and face. That's what the sponge applicator is for, to contour your cheeks, chin, jawline, nose and forehead.

I have never seen another brand bring something like this to the table. It's refreshing. I decided not to touch my face with this tan first off because if it went wrong I would be stuck with a seriously tribal looking face. Ha.

The instructions are great to follow and includes diagrams.

I haven't got round to using the instant spray tanner yet as I just wanted to test out the serum on its own first. The serum bottle comes with a lovely shiny gold pump and it deposits small amounts of product which is super handy as you won't waste any.

As per the instructions, I applied this at night with the gloves provided. I applied the serum in circular motions to ensure everything was evenly blended in. I had pre-moisturised especially on my dry areas such as the knees and elbows and covered my whole body in the solution.

It comes out as a dark serum so you can see where you are applying it, it drys quite quickly too and oh my goodness... THE SMELL... THE SMELL IS AMAZING. It smells like it says on the bottle. Like coconuts. Not freaking biscuits.

I then walked around my room for around 30 minutes for it to air dry before going to bed.

The instructions on the bottle said to leave it on between 6-8 hours and wash off in the morning.

I did just that.

The one thing I didn't like was that the tan, once applied remained sticky/tacky and it made it really hard for me to sleep as I felt uncomfortable. It was a warm night too so that wouldn't of helped either.

You can see the results for yourself below.

* I did use my phone cam for these as it was early and I couldn't be bothered to get my SLR out*.

I will be completely honest it did go patchy in the areas I expected it to go patchy in which was the font of my shin and just around my top arm area. These areas' had little tan on them.

I was expecting this and I am not a pro at applying tan so that would of added salt to the wound.

What I will say is that this is the best fake tan I have actually used so far. It produced an even tan (to those area's that weren't dry) and was a really lovely shade. It made me feel and look really healthy.

My elbows and knees decided to take the tan on more, even though I had moisturised them prior to application. My dad gave me a funny look when he saw them as they were pretty outlandish. Ha. Other than that, the tan was perfect and so was the shade.

fake tan, self tanner, fake bake, fake bake united, beauty blogger, contouring, body contour, face and body tan, drugstore, first impressions, makeup artist, autumn, fake bake 3d kit,

I cannot wait to re-apply this and this time I have bought a mitt in hope the application on my behalf may come out better.

I would highly recommend this product on my first impressions alone, the serum goes a long way so it's going to last you a while, which means it's well worth the price tag.

You can get it here.

If you're looking for a self tanner to do at home I hope this post has helped you make a decision on what to choose.

L'Oreal Paris Infallible #SculptYourWay Competition | I Won

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Yo yo yo!!!

Happy Monday... Said no one ever!!

It's Monday funday again and I am still in my room bloody job searching my life away whist watching Gavin and Stacey on repeat.

I now know all of the words.

What is life?

So last time I spoke I was informing y'all that my hay fever was really bad and my eyes were burning balls of fire.

I couldn't take it no more as I felt that there was something more to it than it just being 'hayfever'.

I made my way to the doctors, no makeup on (I looked like the walking dead) and my fake glasses on to try and disguise my kebab eyes.

They were SO bad.

The doctor took one look at them and was like "woah, they are dramatic". They were THAT swollen they were almost shut and I had to drive there too. I turns out I had an eye infection in both eyes on top of my hayfever. This infection was caused by some eyelash glue I had used. :(

I full on had pink eye, I was a walking boiled egg with pink kebab eyes. So freaking attractive.

*Insert disgusting photo of me*

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
This was the first day and it got a lot
worse!!

On top of that, my car decided to break on me because the coil pack had gone and it had rusted my spark plugs so that cost me a fortune to fix. And with no job, Friday gone was a bad day.

I am now on antibiotic drops, that I may add literally make its way to the back of my throat and it tastes like the gates of hell. RANK does not even describe it. They are meant to stay in my eye not go down my throat so I drink the vile stuff.

The reason I am talking about my eyes is twofold as it brings me onto the actual point of this post. Y'all know I love to fill you in on my life. Or lack of it. Ha.

So, I can't wear any of my prize and upload any looks just yet, all because I have this damned eye infection. Once that has cleared I am good to gooooo.

Right, onto the fun stuff and what you have come here to read.

A few weeks ago I entered a L'Oreal competition that was called #sculptyourway. It was in conjunction with Superdrug and was part of their new 'Infallible' range.

I was watching a YouTuber's video on the range (Itssssabrina) and at the end there was a competition. I was EXTREMELY lucky to catch the video when I did because the competition ended the next day and it was 10.30 pm the previous night.

The competition involved using their Infallible Sculpting kit to put on your contour and highlight and take a picture of your 'tribal stripes' before blending. Luckily for me I had this kit as it caught my eye in Superdrug. How freaking perfect and meant to be.

I did it as to how I do my contour and highlight and entered onto Instrgram tagging Superdrug & L'Oreal into it.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I really wanted to win the competition but thought there was no way in hell that I would ever win, I never win anything big.

The competition prize was HUGE. You could win L'Oreal's whole makeup portfolio (worth £2,500) and £2000 worth of Love2Shop vouchers.

The competition ended and I heard nothing. I was gutted but really interested to find out who had won the prize.

It turned out it was fricking ME!!! YES ME!!! I had forgotten about the comp and carried on with job finding. I found out a week after the comp had ended. I was minding my own business watching a horror film and right at a jumpy part of the film my phone buzzed and I literally crapped myself (well not literally, ha). I looked at my phone and saw that L'Oreal had commented on my Instagram picture saying I had won.

I literally said out loud " No, this is obviously a spam account winding me up".

It freaking wasn't, I had won. I was shocked, I was shaking, I just couldn't believe that they had picked me out of all of the entries. I was the only winner too, I felt so grateful and privileged.

I kept it quiet until they told me I could announce it. 99.9% of people who commented were happy for me, but you will always get that one bitch that will leave a sarcastic and offish comment instead of being happy for you.

Always happens. It's cool.

A couple of weeks later my prize arrived and I was SO excited.

Only 2 items were broken, due to transit but I am in love with it all. Obviously I cannot use some it it due to skin tone differences but I was so overwhelmed. Since getting it I have given some things to my mum. :)

So here it is ladies and gents if you're interested to see!

It came with a lovely little handwritten "congratulations" note and in these amazing vanity cases. I didn't expect that at all, I thought it would all just be in the box.

Makeup Revolution Haul // Who Says Drugstore Makeup Can't Compete?!

I's no secret that Makeup Revolution are currently my favourite drugstore brand. And they have just launched the brand in the US!!!

Congratulations :)

I am in love with their eyeshadow palettes. I actually didn't bother wearing any eyeshadow really for a while, that was until I tried this brand out and fell head over heels.

Quite a few of my posts have mentioned this brand and that is because all I have to say is good.

Their pallets range from £4 to £8 and there are many dupes in there for some of the high brand items on the market. I literally cannot get over how amazing they are.

It's not just the eyeshadow that they do and that I love, they also do eyebrow kits, lipsticks, lip glosses, blushes, bronzers, highlighters... Seriously the list is endless.

For you today I have a Makeup Revolution haul where I have collected the items over the space of a few months. It is all still current and on the market, so either pop onto their website here... http://www.makeuprevolutionstore.com/

Or visit your nearest Superdrug.

I have a mixture of matte and shimmer pallets as well as ones boasting neutral shades and beautiful brights. They are so easy to blend to, especially into the crease and with the vast array of colours within the pallets you can create some super cool looks. I will add one of the looks to the bottom of this post. :)

It's my day of birth on the 7th August so I will no doubt be buying more.

:)

Highlighter = Golden Lights £3 Pink Blush 'Wow' £1 Peach Blush 'Now' £1
This highlighter is SUPER AMAZING!! It seriously gives the nicest highlight on your face for a natural glow. The 'Wow' blush is another fave as you can build up the intensity of the colour.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

This palette is gorgeous. I only bought it on Friday so I am yet to use it, but if it's like my other palettes, I am very excited to create some looks. Again the rose gold packaging helped sell this to me.

I love the little pops of bright colours within this palette. I used the orange to create the look at the end of this post. The colours in each palette are so pigmented and you can layer the colour to how intense you want it.

Blush Stick 'Matte Malibu' £5

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

This is meant to be used as a blush (I gather by the title) but I have actually bought it as contour product. It's amazing at creating shadows in the places that require depth on my face. Definitely great to use as a contour stick and at a fraction of the price of many sticks out there.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
Matte Lipsticks 'Beloved' 'Divine' & 'Nude' £1 each
These are such pretty shades and you know me I love a matte lipstick as it's the only formula I will wear. These aren't matte enough for me as I like them to be REALLY matte. I do however want to try out the Iconic Pro Lipsticks. These along with some other products are on my previous blog post 'Birthday Wishlist. Go check it out.

I haven't included a picture of everything but you get the gist of how amazing this company is. They are so underrated and I LOVE them.

Check out some of my looks below, created with some of their products.
