Busted Pigs Can Fly Tour | My Two Night Stand With The Busted Boys | They're On Fire!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Hellooooooo!!! Welcome back.

These weeks are going SO quickly right now, it's cray cray (yep I just used that wording. Forgive me. Ha.)

The weather in the UK is also crazy right now, it's so freaking hot!! I can never regulate my body temperature, I am either too cold or too hot. Right now I am soooo hot I feel like I am melting from the inside out!!

Woaaahhh man!! Just think of the episode of Friends when the boiler broke at their Christmas party. Yep that's how I am currently.

Now onto the good stuff!!!

Y'all know that Busted are BACK!!!!

If you don't.... Just get out.

Now, lets paint the picture... I was what 16-17 when I was into Busted. I am almost 29 now and my love for the boys never vanished along with their quitting of the band.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I was totally smitten with Matt when I first heard their first song 'What I go to school for'. Then it switched to James then Charlie (in Fightstar). Now after seeing them all these years later... They are all freaking equally hot. They have done a good job of ageing!!

But none of them are single!! "Booo". Ha.

Well played!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I follow their accounts on Twitter, so when I saw that they were making a comeback after performing with McFly as McBusted in the previous months I freaked out!!

Lits freaked out!! They were god damn touring!!!

I never got to see them when I was younger so I had to take this chance and go!! I bought the tickets back in Jan I think and the other week I went to their first concert.

I got seats in the upper tiers, now I prefer to be right at the front of gigs because of my passion for taking awesome gig pics to capture certain moments. At this point I was just happy I was there.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

OMFG.

It was AMAZING!!! I am not even exaggerating... IT WAS AWESOME!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The atmosphere was electric and in a weird way slightly emotional because after 12 years they were back and better than ever. They had new material too which I LOVE. And since then I have learnt that they are bringing out a new album in 2016. I am so happy and I will be the first to buy it!

The way the tour has been set up is fantastic. Such thought had gone into the staging, dramatics and everything about it was exciting.

The tour is obviously called 'Pigs Can Fly' and there was this huge light up pig floating around the arena. Loved it.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Wheatus and Emma Blackberry were support and they were great too.

Leading up to Busted actually coming on stage the lights would flicker and so would the video footage on stage. This was one of my favourite parts. It built up the momentum.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

When the concert actually started the video footage would come on with this music theme that gave me goosebumps. The music arrangement to the lead up made it all so dramatic, I literally could of cried. History in the making for me. The screen shot to Matt, James and Charlie taking their pig masks off and then it went dark and the curtains fell to reveal the 'Pig Sty' on stage with fans (they had bought seperate tickets to be there) and their pig masks staring out at us. Just writing this is giving me goosebumps.

* I did try to insert the video but it wouldn't load*

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The crowd went wild, me included and then the boys came out of trap doors straight in front of their mics.

They stood still.

I lost my voice. Ha.

And so it began!

They started with their new song 'Coming Home' and I loved it.
The energy was soul grabbing. I don't think I ever got it back. Ha. They played a whole lot of their old stuff which was amazing because they listened to the fans on Twitter when they asked what we wanted to hear and their new songs are really catchy and have some great hooks.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

When they sang 'Sleeping With The Lights On' the whole place went dark and each and everyone of us in that stadium had their phone lights on and were waving them the the beat of the song.

This was magical and for me the pinnacle of the whole concert. It just showed a whole lot of love for the boys and that even though they have been out of the game for 12 years it's made no difference to the dedication we all have for the band.

I didn't want the concert to end.

Obviously it did and I was a mixture of happy and sad because I wanted to see them again!

Oh yeah...

I DID!!!

That's right, they were THAT good I had to do it.

They were going to the Barclay Card Arena in Birmingham and I tweeted to say I was really tempted to go. That's when Charlie tweeted me and said "do it".

So I did! Easily persuaded.

I couldn't afford to go but the seats were ground level near the stage. Papa Hutt wasn't best pleased he had to take me again (as there was no way I was driving to Birmingham) but I told him that Charlie told me to "do it" so I have to. :D

It worked.

I was not prepared on Saturday (just gone) to find out where my seats were.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I was a little lost and when I asked a random fan if they knew where I was going she pointed to the seats right in front of the OMFG zone. I was thinking 'this cannot be right' and was worried at any moment someone would tell me to move. Ha.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The main stage was a little further back (not much) and then the OMFG zone was in the middle then the stage again in front of me.

I was stoked man. I was so freaking happy that I could finally get some decent pictures and see them so close up.

James's mic was right in front of me, then Charlie and Matt was furthest away.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Watching them perform this time was even better. I just wish I had got to meet them.
Because I am a singer I always have a little day dream when I'm at a concert, of me singing/performing on the stage with the artist right there and then.

Again, my dreams are bigger than my boobs. :)

All in all it was the best money I have ever spent and yes that is over all the makeup I buy. Ha.

The only thing that could of topped those nights would of been to attend a Michael Jackson concert and that ain't going to happen any time soon.

Although, (I still think he's alive living in Bahrain)but that's another story!

Their vocals were on par, their banter was on point, the love was immense, the songs bought back so many memories for me and all in all I have fallen in love with them all over again.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I still have their calendar and albums under my bed. After all those years!

I cannot wait to attend the tour of their new album!

Busted... You are and were on FIRE!!

Counterfeit Gig | Meeting Jamie Campbell Bower | And Why They Are Going To Be Huge.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Hello you lovely lot!!!

I hope y'all well?! I am just spiffy if you're wondering, although I have far too much to do today and so little time. I have auditions to prepare for, singing videos to do and makeup comps to do.

I'm going to need a hella lot of E numbers!

I am bring to you a different kind of post today compared to my usual beauty ones.

This one is obviously 'life' related and something I feel you guys should hear about because music plays a big part in my life and this post reflects that. If you're a music lover or performer like me then you're going to be very interested in this.

Trust me, I never lie. :)

THE LOW-DOWN

In my previous post I mentioned that I was going to see the band Counterfeit live in Birmingham, Thursday just gone.

If you haven't heard of them you REALLY need to research this shit because trust me you're missing out.

More about that later.

They are a five man band consisting of lead singer and guitarist Jamie Campbell Bower *swoon*, Tristan Marmont (guitar, vocals), Roland Johnson (bass, vocals), Sam Bower - Jamie's Brother (guitar, vocals) and last but not least Jimmy Craig on the drums.

Jamie, is pretty well known as he was lead in a band called The Darling Buds and he is also an actor and has dabbled in some modelling.

If you don't know who he is, where the hell have you been all your life?! You've watched, Sweeney Todd, Twilight and Mortal Instruments right?

Talented all round. Hell yeah.

To me, I would say that their 'genre' of music (if you HAVE to categorise it) is in the realms of punk/rock - alternative. They have some hella, body shattering bass lines, some bloody catchy hooks and their overall feel is "COME GET SOME"!

The attitude just oozes out of them and it's freaking hot!!

If you're into this sound then read on... If you're not, give it a chance because they are addictive!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

THE GIG

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I will be honest with you, I hadn't actually heard of this band fully, until around a week before their gig. I follow Jamie on Twitter and Instagram and saw that Counterfeit were touring.

I then watched Mortal Instruments, fell in love with Jamie and was like "I REALLY need to listen to his band".

I am not joking you, I listened to 'Hold Fire' first and I was hooked. I actually got goosebumps instantly, for me to react like that, you have to be good. I am freaking picky when it comes to what I like. If I like something, you know it's going to be amazing.

Each song has a meaning, each song is electric and each song is passionate.

I would also like to add, they are doing this all off their own back, no big record companies involved. It's all of their own blood, sweat and tears.

For a band to do that and already have a big impact and following is commendable.

Well played boys!

I then bought a meet and greet ticket so I could actually meet them in person. If there is ever an opportunity to meet the people I admire, I am sold.

So, it took me god damn forever to get to Birmingham because of stupid ass drivers, I mean seriously, does anyone actually know how to drive any more? "GET OUT OF MY WAY ASSHOLE"!

I was late, on my own and really cold. I had the highest boots on, leather trousers and a drop sleeve vest.

I made friends easily because I just talk to people and they have no choice in the matter. Ha.

I was actually pretty nervous meeting Counterfeit, especially Jamie as I struggle to breathe when I find someone hot let alone talk to them. Ha ha.

I spoke to Jamie and Sam first and they were lovely. But me being me, I never actually open my mouth and talk about you know... NORMAL things, I get nervous and crap comes out instead. I met the rest of the band after and again they were all perfectly lovely especially Roland. :)

With me, when I am inspired by someone I could spend hours with them, I am NEVER the 'groupie' type.

That night, I wanted to be on stage with them!! I was in the zone!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

They are all so beautiful!!

Totally a guys, girl me! Ha.

THE PEFORMANCE

Okay, so my feet were freaking killing me by the time they came on stage which was around 8.45 pm, bearing in mind I have been in them since 4.30 pm. I literally couldn't feel my feet or legs at all. I had to wear them because usually I will get to the stage and BOOM a bloody tree is in front of me. "Mwahahaha not that night". In yo face!

I am not going to lie they have some die hard fans, I did feel like I was the only 28 yr old in the room as everyone else seemed so young. Obviously they are their main demographic. Again, well played.

They were going mental, literally mental. It made me smile, it was cool.

As I was new to the 'gang' I only knew the five songs I had listened to.

. Hold Fire
. Come Get Some
. Enough (which is their latest single)
. Family Suicide
. Letters To The Lost

They played around 12 songs I believe.

I have NEVER seen so much enigma, love, passion, energy and talent coming off a stage in my life. I have been to a lot of gigs and I will tell you now, it's THE BEST one I  have been to.

True story.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

The vocals were on point, there were some brilliant instrumental licks and the music was flawless. You're just stood there wanting to full on swing your hair about. Totally intergalactic.

If you could bottle sex into music form, this would be it! Full stop.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I am a singer/performer and their music is 100% the type I love to perform. It's gritty, has depth and so god damn addictive.

I couldn't take my eyes off Jamie, he is the show stopper, he was bouncing around the stage like a fly on shit, fully loving life!!

And, what I loved more was how he full bodied himself with the audience. He would come off the stage and into the screaming fans and really involved himself. No pretences, never pretentious and totally engaged. I LOVED it.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

When performing 'Letters To The Lost' Jamie came into the crowd and performed the song. This song holds a melancholy meaning with a twang of saddened anger throughout. His close friend Ivan committed suicide and this song reflects his feelings on the loss.

Now I know the meaning, I hear the song differently and it's a tear jerker. Each one of his songs are beautifully written and clever.

'Enough' was written not long after the Paris attacks and I love the meaning behind the song, it is ballsy, full of attitude and portrays a sense of "we won't stand for any of your ball crap".

Spread the love, not war. I heeeaaarrrr yaaaa!

No half hearted performance here. I was in awe. If I of had the chance to perform with them I would of taken it with everything I had because their music just engrossed you.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I love dancing, flicking my hair about and losing myself. Ha. It's good for your soul!

The night before in Manchester, Jamie crowd surfed, except no one caught him because they were too busy filming. I felt really sorry for him, I mean I go to a gig, I love taking photo's & vids but you do it in short bursts. Not to stick it on YouTube. Our night however we caught him!!! I didn't as I was just out of range but I was so happy as it ended the night on a high.

There was a load of moshing, water spitting, sweat, Jamie's naked torso and a whole lot of love for the boys. They encored and that was that.

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
My favourite picture. I love capturing a feeling/atmosphere/moment.

I was officially dead but buzzing!

Before I left, I purchased their 'Come Get Some' tee and a signed poster as I love to support genuine talent. I also gave Sam my business card so they could keep an eye out for this post if they were interested.

I would of loved to have spent more time with the guys and I wish I would of been able to bring my DSLR as I would of caught some epic moments!!

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk
leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

They are touring in Europe now, so if you are reading this and haven't got tickets yet or are interested in seeing them click here to purchase the best night of your life.

Counterfeit are big already but I have a feeling there are bigger things to come for this band. I mean global!! Watch this space! Work hard and dream big!

My dreams are bigger than my boobs these days! Ha.

I always start a sentence with " imagine if...".

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

Pre-gig makeup.

One thing I would say is I would love it if the boys interacted with the fans more on social media. For me, I love that, even if they follow you and don't communicate (we all know you're busy bees) it just shows that they have acknowledged you. I love promoting bands/brands and myself and when a band/musician/brand follows you/speaks to you it makes your day a little brighter.

Don't forget to subscribe here.

And I am also over here too if you want to see some more vids of the band along with all my other crap. Ha.

Gig // The Mirror Trap // Where These Men Aren't Silent

leluroxx.blogspot.co.uk

I love being part of the 'music world', there is nothing better than losing yourself to music by your favourite band/musician whilst you're stood within a vortex of energy and admiration.

That's exactly what I was feeling last night as I stood in front of The Mirror Trap boys whilst they did their thaaannng!!! I cannot praise this band enough, they are so friendly and receptive off stage and absolutely on fire on stage.
Front man Gary Moore makes the stage come alive with his fancy footwork and modulated voice that is so captivating you couldn't turn away from it, plus he is hot to boot which is always good for the eye ;)

The Dundee boys are complete naturals on stage and this really comes across in their performance, they really come alive, have fun and joke with the crowd. Obviously I LOVE their music, it is frantically catchy, memorable and they have some amazing hooks. This is a band that I will truly respect and love for years to come. This is a band to watch.

Last night's gig was so intimate (which I love)and I had a quick chat with Gary and co before the gig started. I loved that. I am seriously NOT a groupie, I am very much intrigued by musicians that inspire me and therefore I like to talk. I took my lovely friend Hannah with me to the gig as she hadn't heard of them before and she was really impressed with the gig, the boys themselves and the music. Another fan added to the list...Check. :)

The gig was short but sweet and they played some new tracks and some more of their well know records. I was loving life when they played my favourite's 'Pigeon Chest' and 'Piranha's' I was singing along in my own little world. Yup I'm THAT girl. Apart from Gary being the front man (which it's very hard to take your eyes off him... Because of him bopping around that is. *cough* *cough*) the other guys were really tearing up their instruments. They gave it their all and the outcome was spine tingling. It wasn't a half hearted performance it was full on sweat, blood and (I hope not) tears.

Bravo.

I always get the 'gig blues' the day after as I could be back there again and again!! I spoke to the guys after the gig where Gary signed the EP I bought and I left with Hannah. Unfortunately it was like Tornado Alley in Birmingham last night and the rain washed away the ink. Never mind. There's always next time. And again I didn't get a frickin picture. When will I learn?!

Okay so here is the pictorial fun. I took these next pics with my new DSLR. It's the best money I have ever spent.

Have fun and go and buy The Mirror Trap's songs. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram and Spotify.
