Morphe 350M Palette | An Affordable And Simple Autumnal Makeup Look To Suit Everyone.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore,

Evening/Morning ladies and gents.

I hope everyone is fine and dandy?!

Nothing majorly exciting has happened this week to fill you in about, it's literally the same old shit, different day kinda thang!

I am however hoping to go to the Safari Park on Sunday because they are running a competition for 'Wildlife Photographer Of The Year' and although I got some decent shots when I went on my birthday I want to get some better ones to enter. The prizes are pretty cool too. :)

I am still loving Autumn but what I am not loving is the amount of spiders that are venturing into my house. I haven't slept for two nights now in fear that one of those beasts will enter my room. They aren't small either, they are freaking huge.

So, as I am loving Autumn so much, what better than to share with you my Autumnal makeup look that will suit everyone.

It's a lovely, warm look with the main focus on the eyes. It's perfect for day and night - especially if you are a little bit of an extrovert, who loves to experiment and likes to get creative with their makeup looks.

Today I will be showing you everything I used on my eyes and face and the final look that I created with these products. All products are affordable and easy to use and mainly from the drugstore.

The main product I am featuring for this look is the Morphe 350M palette from Beauty Bay. It's a really sort after palette and I like working with matte products so I decided to get this as I couldn't get hold of the original 350. I love this a lot. The colours are super pigmented so you don't need to use a lot to get a great colour pay off.

Let me know what you think and please share if you re-create this look yourself.

This swatch is just after a light swipe. You don't need a lot on your brush at all.

What I used where on my eyes.

1: All over my eye to dry the base primer out.
2: Transition shade across the crease, up to the brow.
3: Used in the depth of crease.
4: Outer eye, blended into the crease.
5: On the upper inner corner.
6: To darken the crease and the outer eye.
7: Darken around the liner.
8: Bottom lash line.
9: To smoke out under waterline.

* I did use the black out of the 35B palette to darken the final look*

I found these little beauties in Primark, they were £2.50 for the pack of three and the adhesive. Which I thought was pretty good. I used the copper coloured ones to add some sparkle on my inner lid and on the lower lash line. Taking them off though was a pain in the arse as it all ends up over you face.

These LA Girl Pro.Conceal concealer/corrector's are pretty cool. I love the orange one for under the eyes as I have some pretty decent dark circles. This covers them super well so I use this before I apply my foundation around that area. These are also from Beauty Bay for £5 each. Score.

I LOVE these lashes by Vagas Nay. They create such a dramatic look and really finish the eyes off. They do have a thick band so are best used with eyeliner on your upper lid but other than that they are great.

They are around £5 in Savers (UK)

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore, mac, soft ochre,

I use Mac's Paint Pot in 'Soft Ochre' as my eye base and then I will use a nude shadow shade to set this in place so it's a lot easier to blend the shadows out.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore, maybelline lash sensational,

This is the mascara I currently use, I do like this one but with all mascara's they do NOTHING to my lashes. They are poker straight and aren't changing any time soon.

My all time favourite eyeliner baby. This Soap and Glory eyeliner pen is the bomb. I love it soooo much, it's so easy to use and I would say great for beginners trying to master the flick. I have just bought another one of these in fear I run out. Ha.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore,

These are the products that I used on my face for this look. Starting from the top left.

1. Sleek contour kit in 'medium'.

2. L'Oreal Infallible foundation in 'vanilla' (my current foundation favourite).

3. Rimmel Stay Matte finishing powder in 'Sandstorm'.

4. LA Girl Pro.Powder HD setting powder - I use this under my eyes.

5. Sleek 'Solstice' highlighters.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore, nyx,

These are the products that I have been reaching for to sort out my brows. Baring in mind my brows on quite light and sparse I cannot get a really nice 'natural' brow look but I use the L'Oreal Brow Artist kit first and define and darken the 'tail' with the NYX Tame and Frame pomade.

tutorial, how to, makeup look, morphe brushes, 350 palette, loreal, sleek, primark, autumn, beauty bay, affordable, drugstore, mac, honeylove

Finally to complete this look I will reach for my trusty nude lips. These are the three products I use without fail, almost every day.

I will line my lips with the Primark liner, then dab on the Primark matte chunky lipstick pencil and to finish off I will use Mac's 'Honeylove' - my ultimate favourite lipstick EVER,  in the centre of the lips.

And here is the finished look for y'all.

I hope you like it.

Being Single Vs Being In A Relationship | How Do You Even Meet THE ONE?! Are Dating Apps The Way Forward?

beauty blogger, beauty bay, makeup artist, makeup geek, morphe brushes, 350 palette, sleek, solstice, highlighter,

Happy Monday beauties!

I am totally loving the fact it's Autumn, although what I am totally not loving is that I still have hayfever. I mean c'mon you've had your fun and now it's time to say "bye bye" - I am done.

I have decided to write more of personal post today as this issue has been bugging me for quite some time now and it's something that all us guys and gals can totally relate to and something that I need to address as I have so many unanswered questions.

It's no secret to the people that know me that I have been single for quite some time. Admittedly, most of the duration it has been my decision but I have over time noticed a certain pattern occurring when I come into any kind of contact with men - some of which act like boys but that's another issue.

I have been single for around 7 years which is a heck of  a long time, I mean I am no Kendall Jenner but I am not Gollum either. What's going on?

I will tell you what's going on... I am doomed to be single for the rest of my life because I for one keep meeting all the wrong kind of guys and there are A LOT of them about.

My life is like a 'Where's Wally' book, instead of finding Wally, it's more like lets find where the genuine, decent guy is. It's an absolute joke - he's totally got the Harry Potter invisibility cloak on! Like I've said, I have been available for a good while now and I am starting to wonder if there is something actually wrong with me?!

I don't actually think there is, what the issue is, is that there just aren't enough good eggs about these days. I have failed to meet yet one guy that is totally worth my time and effort.

Sure, I have been on dating sites where I get inappropriately approached by an 18th century bloke who is old enough to be my ageing Granddad or messaged on Tinder (and lets face it, that app is a breeding ground for immature, sex-crazy people who want a hook up) asking how big my boobs are. I mean really?! And you wonder why you can't get a date?! I however cannot talk because I cannot get one either and I feel I am doing everything right. What is this universe even doing to me?!

single, advice, relationships, dating apps, tinder, love, the one, girl problems, single vs relationship, social media,
Okay, lets be honest, we are all intrigued by Tinder, fact. Whenever I download the crappy little thing I ALWAYS regret it instantly. I constantly swipe to the left as it is rare that anyone will catch my eye. I suppose I can be pretty picky on appearance because if one day I do meet someone and get down and dirty with them I need to be attracted to them at least. That's a given but jeeze man, the amount of guys on there that really appear to be something they are not and  I don't mean physically I mean as a freaking human being.

Recently, I have spoken to a few guys off Tinder and went on a 'date' with one. The date was just more jokes than Kanye West admitting he isn't a descendant of Christ and the guys I have been speaking to have had that many mood swings it has given me whiplash.

SOMEONE PLEASE TELL ME WHY? Why, is it a guy will speak to you via say Tinder, either give you their number pretty much straight away or ask for yours, engage in a major amount of conversation that I cannot even keep up with, ring you for 2 1/2 hours and then... Errr where's he gone?! Did he die? Fall off the face of the god damn planet? Just what?!

I totally have the curse of the 2 1/2 hour phone call. I swear that every time a guy calls me it always ends up with us speaking for that amount of time and the phone call goes really well and then I am ghosted forever and evs, amen! Why is this happening, it baffles my head. It has been happening such a lot I am starting to get a complex.

Then I stop and think, well I composed myself in all correspondence (yes it really is like a freaking business meeting) answered all questions, engaged in the conversation, paid interest in their life and definitely didn't come across as an over excited child. What is their childhood trauma?

Then it hit me. They are just playing a really stupid game. I will reply to their message on Whatsapp, keeping it all casual and cool and then I see that they will come online - ignore the message and they think I don't understand this concept?

"DUDE I KNOW YOUR SCENE!"

I've just been ghosted... AGAIN!!! In their heads they think, 'ahhh I can find someone better' , 'I will keep her hanging for a backup plan'. Nah mate, not going to happen.

single, advice, relationships, dating apps, tinder, love, the one, girl problems, single vs relationship, social media,

The thing is do they not realise that when this happens to us girls we are not as blind sighted as they think? We can see they have come online, we know you are talking to other girls, we know that you don't know that we know you've been on line and blatantly ignored our reply and to top it off they give you this BS excuse about 2 days later as to why they haven't been in touch. Is anyone else sick of having pointless conversations that lead absolutely nowhere?

It really is a laughable situation, too much like hard work for me and most of all once they have ghosted you 90% of the time they ALWAYS come running back when they realise they have been a complete dick and no one wants them. Fact.

Usually when the whole 'ghosting' game is going on what they don't realise is that I have already cut off and there's no going back. What I don't like is the feeling you're left with and that's not getting closure to a situation. In the long run it really is, "it's not me it's you" (from my POV).

What I would like to know is, what goes through a guys mind when they feel they have to play the whole fickle ghosting scenario, especially when they were getting on with a girl. What changes?

I have learnt now not to even give those guys the time of day, the old me would of ranted at them via text, demanding an explanation and girls if this has or is happening to you then don't even waste your beautiful breath and give it to someone who really does deserve it.

Nobody got time for boys... We want men! Now don't get me wrong, not all men are like this and I am not tarnishing every guy with the same brush because there will be some good eggs out there but the guys I am attracting really are from the same breed of idiots.

I am officially fly paper for freaks or have 'mug me off' written on my head.

As a woman, I like to flirt with someone, have great conversations and if a guy cannot hold a decent convo, no matter how good looking they are they instantly become unattractive to me and I get bored and move on. Now for a lot of the guys I talk to, I think the same applies but more in the physical sense. If you're not Skyping naked they don't want to know. Is this really what dating has come to? I am no stranger to sending cheeky underwear shots to guys I have known for a while and have a coherent relationship with but I know where I am with them.

Now, I won't go anywhere down that road with someone I am genuinely wanting to date because I have done that in the past and it's attracted the wrong kind of attention. Sadly though, when I do get talking to a guy that states that they are 'different' and I am the "exception" it turns out that they are lying out of their asses, after about the second conversation in all the sexual innuendos come to play. BORING GUYS!!! Let me tell you, if the girl has something about her that stuff comes later, what she wants to know is YOU not necessarily what you like in bed. We aren't functioned the same way as you.

Guaranteed, the guys that overly compliment you, cannot hold a decent conversation and embark on the whole 'you're the exception' are 100% texting 20 other girls, playing hide the purple parsnip with anything that breathes and will most definitely ghost you when they don't get what they want. Simple. See ya!!

This is just a fraction of my issues with being single but what about being in a relationship? I find both statuses come with their own equal amounts of problems. Being single is very hard work; there's too much game playing, brain space, emotional battery and most of all - time wasting. Relationships can be just the same, wondering if your partner is being faithful, truthful, wanting the same things as you, on par with you career wise, not going out with the boys drinking all the time, wondering why that girl/guy keeps eyeing your other half up. Either or, being single or in a relationship just fills you with anxiety and I for one have had enough of that feeling.

AND that is why my friends I have been single for so long, it's too much drama. Is it even still a thing that you can even meet 'the one' anymore? Trying to find your soulmate these days is about as easy as trying to get Phoebe's song famous Smelly Cat a new home. Lets face it, you 100% will not find 'the one' on a dating app that's fo'sure and if you do, please teach me this witchcraft. Night's out won't do it either, so all in all I am doomed.

Let's just break it down into points...

Being single

Pros:

. Own space, can eat what you want, dress how you want, wear as much makeup as you want, go out with the girls, eye up men and not get in trouble for it.
. Wear no makeup and look like death but it's okay you have no one to look nice for. Ha.
. Go on dates
.Don't have to shave as often - it's okay it's almost winter we need the extra warmth.
. Binge watch Netflix with a crap tonne of junk food and not feel even a little bit ashamed.
. No guilt on what you post on social media. You want to show those abs girls, you freaking do it!
. No anxiety of whether you're being cheated on.
.More money in your pocket guys/girls!
. You get ALL of the bed and covers!
. That last slice of pizza is yours.
. Flirting is permitted.
. Your Halloween costume isn't a collaboration. No more 'you're his bread to his sausage'.
. Regain your independence.

Cons:

. No one to cuddle up to.
.No regular sexy times.
.Christmas/Halloween/Bonfire night loneliness.
. No romantic gestures.
. No one to play with your hair and bring you sympathy food when you're hungover.

Being in a relationship

Pros:

. Always having someone there cuddle up to - man hugs are the best.
. Sex on tap
. Having someone to go with you to events or being around to enjoy the festivities.
.  A vital part to the picture if you want to start a family.
. Someone to have a future with.
. Someone to cook you food and make you feel better when you're poorly.
. Have THAT connection with someone
.Finding 'the one'.

Cons:

. Sex with the same person, potentially, forever!
. Not as independent.
. Being questioned on your choices.
. Having to explain yourself to someone.
. Lack of space.
. Anxiety on whether they are staying faithful.
.Who are they with if they aren't with you?
.They take the last slice of pizza.
.Having to always be 'on point'.
. Having to always be doing something.
.Have no money.
.Spending money on presents.
. Working hard on keeping the relationship 'alive'.
. Having to act like your partners mother - that's a deal breaker.

single, advice, relationships, dating apps, tinder, love, the one, girl problems, single vs relationship, social media,

After looking through that list of some of the things I could think of, I actually think it's a lot easier being single in this day and age than being in a relationship. Society puts too much pressure on us singletons to have children and get married. I want both of those things but only when the right person comes along. I am certainty not going to be settling down with someone who is a bad egg just because I am on a time scale. I deserve a lot better than what I am being presented with.

And hey, if that person doesn't come along, I am fine with that, I will just have a test tube baby and do it my own way. Ha.

I chose to speak about this topic as I think a lot of people can relate to the subject as I cannot be the only person having to deal with this nonsense?! Let me know in the comments!

15 Autumn/Fall Favourites And 5 Must Do's This Season.

autumn, winter, fall, autumn fashion, beauty, drug store, christmas, lush, garnier, loreal, hot chocolate, halloween, bonfire night, night in, netflix

Happy 2nd of September my beauties!!

I am SO happy to announce it is officially Autumn in the UK and you guys know how much I bang on about how much I love this time of year.

It is without a shadow of a doubt my favourite season, I just love everything about it. I want my wedding in the Autumn... That's if that EVER freaking happens. It's just a happy time of year.

The smells, the colours, the fashion - it's totally incredible and it should be embraced more.

Today, I am going to list the things that are my Autumn/Fall favourites and the things I feel are must do's this season for everyone involved.

MY SEASON FAVOURITES

1. Candles - Autumn and Christmas scented candles are officially THE ONE!! The scents can bring back so many beautiful memories, really create an ambience in a room and it makes everything so damn cosy. I love the spice ones, pine scented and anything that smells out (see what I did there?!) Christmas and Autumn.

2. Autumn/Winter fashion - I love to layer and I am constantly in dark clothing, especially black. This time of year it's totally acceptable to wear that colouring - I get some fully looks wearing black in the Summer. Ha. Do they not know black is my happy colour?! I love being able to wear hats, scarfs, boots and quirky little coats. Again, it's super cosy and it just keeps that cold chill out. You can experiment a lot with fashion this time of year.

It's time to dust off those disco pants, sequin numbers and berry hues! RIGHT NOW!

3. Cosy nights in - There's nothing better than getting in from a long day and sticking on your comfy pj's and chucking on your dressing gown. This is the time of year that it's acceptable to lounge in those bad boys for as long as you can. I love to stick on some heart warming movies and grab a takeaway. Yes please.

If you have a bf you can insert him in this section. I don't... So don't rub it in. Ha.

4. Hot drinks - Oh yes, the hot drinks are back. This is one of my main favourites, I love having a nice hot chocolate with squirty cream and chocolate sprinkles on top. Isn't it the nicest, when you pop into a coffee shop and you can smell all the hot chocolates and gingerbread spiced latte's?! It really makes me happy and puts me in the nicest mood.

5. Steaming Hot Bubble Baths - It is the season to fry your skin in the hottest bath possible. Ha. Forget showers guys, baths are where it's at!! So many of my favourites can be combined on this list and that's the great thing about it. It brings total happiness. Get yourself to Lush, get a bomb and bubble bar and pop it in there with you whist you soak. I love Lush at this time of year as they start to bring out all their festive products and I am sold. I wish they would bring out a gingerbread scent though. :)

6. Indulging in the good stuff (food) - Diet? What diet?! You can now over indulge it's okay, all those winter woolies will hide any evidence!! I find myself, that I can exercise more as I don't get super hot and it warms me up. So I tend to tone up more. I am so backwards. Ha. That said, I love to eat. Home cooked meals, meals out and all the chocolate in the world makes me a happy Leya. Salted caramel is back in season too and that is my ultimate favourite. I even have a candle in that scent.

autumn, winter, fall, autumn fashion, beauty, drug store, christmas, lush, garnier, loreal, hot chocolate, halloween, bonfire night, night in, netflix, comfort food,

7. Smells and colours - oh my goodness the smells just make an atmosphere right?! You step out into the cold air and the hit of the earth, trodden on leaves and food just hits you in the face. For me, I LOVE to go on walks, take pictures and smell Autumn. The colours are warming, bright and festive and those two things combined can make any negative feelings melt away into the distance. There is always an air of tranquillity about it all.

autumn, winter, fall, autumn fashion, beauty, drug store, christmas, lush, garnier, loreal, hot chocolate, halloween, bonfire night, night in, netflix

8. Halloween - When the Hallow of the ween hits us, that's when the fun and celebrations can begin. I literally love dressing up on Halloween, I love to look as disgusting as possible and go out with my friends!! Halloween for me isn't a time to look pretty, it's a time to look like road kill. Simple. Ha.

It's also when I will crack open Hocus Pocus and all the scary films I own and go on a slasher marathon.

9. The weather - Okay, so Autumn/Winter weather can suck ass, especially when it's bitter cold, raining and windy all at the same time. I always look like I have walked through a hedge backwards. That's what hats are for though and they come in super handy. As long as you're dressed for the occasion you can really enjoy what the elements bring. Again, it makes it all extra cosy when you get home from being outside in the cold.

10. Lights - The days get shorter and the nights get longer, so on go the cute little fairy lights. I have so many now, my parents electricity bill must go through the roof. Whoops.

Reading a book under candle and fairy lights has got to be one of the most awesome things in life.

11. Bonfire night - As soon as the 5th of November comes along it fills me with a bittersweet feeling, like 'wow the year is almost over' but then 'oh yes, it's almost Christmas'. As soon as this night hits and I am watching the creativity in the sky this is when you really know Christmas is on its way. I love taking my camera out and capturing the lights, eating my hot dog and just losing myself.

It makes me so happy.

12. Christmas Faye - I love heading out to the Christmas Fayre where I live, it's just full of joy, festivity and kindness. Again the atmosphere is amazing and I love looking and buying things that I don't usually see. I always find at this time to pop into Costa and get my favourite hot choc to take around with me.

13. Christmas decorations - C'mon guys this has got to be one of the best things going in life. I can spend hours decorating my room. This is one of the main reasons I decided to paint my room white so I could have a white, red and gold theme when Christmas arrives.

Get all the glitter out and go cray cray.

14. Christmas Eve - This is my favourite day EVS!!! I get so freaking excited guys. You wouldn't believe I am 29 years old. Ha. This is the day that I wake up extra early, put on The Christmas Carol and then get ready to go out with pops to get the last bits of food. After doing so we will then go around the whole famalam and deliver their presents like the little Santa's we are.

On the night, me and my brother will either go to Merry Hill for a bit or sit in my room wrapping presents watching Christmas movies and listening to Christmas songs.

Bliss.

 15. Christmas Day - I don't even need to say anything for this point apart from...

"Ho Ho Ho".

This time of year I always have a little list of must-have's that I go by and I thought I would share them with you too.

. Skin care is so important as the elements will dry your skin out, so it's super important to moisturise daily. I swear by the Simple Skin range in the day and my Garnier/L'Oreal/Liz Earl range by night

. Hair care is also super important as your hair would of had a beating in the Summer so will need extra TLC this time of year. Hair masks are a must and try and lay off the heat instruments.

.Candle burning is a must but accidents can happen. Make sure you buy a glass plate to put your candle holder on to avoid burning the house down.

. Berry colours are IN, so start rocking that burgundy lip now!

. Manicured nails are a must, it makes you feel polished and the falsies you can buy and do yourself at home are super impressive. Get yo sparkle on.

I hope you enjoyed this Autumnal post, I wanted to dedicate a post to it as I love reading others that post something similar. It makes me all smiley.
